Welcome back, mate. Good to see you've sorted your computer out
A wanderer returns
Hi guys.
It's been a while, hasn't it?
Life (and in that, I mean work) has taken so much of my time in the past few months that I have done virtually no PC or Internet related stuff at home. Then my PC, which had been ailing for most of the year, took a turn for the worst. I couldn't be arsed to fix it and when I got around to motivating myself, I didn't really have the cash to waste as I had indulged in a new "toy" in the middle of July (those present at the Earthfire party will have seen it in the flesh).
What time I have had to myself in the since June has been spent trying not to have anything to do with PCs or the Internet, or playing with the aforementioned toy - evidence of which you can see Here, Here, Here and Here
It was a fun day!
Now the finances have recovered sufficiently, I have repaired my PC and I'm back! (waits for the groans ). You never know, I may even find my way back into the chat room.

Welcome back dude! Though what's with using publicity shots from '2 Fast 2 Furious' to spice up your post?
Just realised I haven't used the pumpkin thingy yet either...

...and it's not a stunt double - they're all me (I need a biking smiley).
Now you know the real reason for why I wasn't around
Seriously though, they were taken at Rockingham race track near Corby. I had avoided putting my bike on a track for fear of what I might do to it (and myself). The fact that I had owned this bike for less than 6 weeks at the time, I was even less eager to do it. However, I was press-ganged by my riding buddies into doing it because my brother was recovering from an operation and hadn't received clearence to ride again. I'm glad that I relented in the end because I didn't regret a second of it. OK, maybe there was the odd sphincter-related moment when you hit the brakes, the rear end starts to snake and the corner arrives just a little bit quicker that you had anticipated... But after brief religious conversion the next straight appears without incident and you're off again!
By the end of the day I was screaming round the circuit. It's great fun being able to do well over 100mph, legally, and not be concerned about whether there's anything coming the other way!
howdy stranger. Welcome back to the fold
