I am confused and in need of some female advice. When do you know that you are feeling broody? Does a biological clock really tick? Is is all psychological and you are just giving in to peer pressure?

In the past 2 years I have seen most people I know have children (and three of them are now expecting their second!) I am 30 and i don't know what I want. All my freinds who have kids are not people I see every day since some of them live abroad, but I am very aware that all their lives have changed so much and they have indeed moved on to another stage of adulthood.

The final straw has come this month when my best friend has had a baby girl and my cousin called yesterday to say she was pregnant. I am from Gibraltar and an only child so these two people were the closest to sisters i ever had in a place were the family is everything. I suddenly feel very left out.

I have been married for almost 6 yrs and my husband is very unsure about kids (they bring him out in a rash!). Do I want a baby because I feel left out and want what everyone else seems to have? or do i really have a yearning for children? At the same time I think of how selfish I can be and dread the loss of my freedom and good job.

I am very confused

has anyone out there felt the same?
