On the JB subject, if there isnt conformation from a reliable online source, i wouldnt worry about it. I often get people on sites posting things (both nice, like people getting married, and nasty, like they died) which prove unfounded.

Gene Anthony Ray who played Leroy in the TV show, died last Friday from complications from a stroke. He was 41 years old and also allegedly HIV-Positive.

Very sad news.

Oddly I was having a discussion about the original ex-fame students only a few weeks ago and how you never really saw them in anything else after that (I'm sure there must have been something)

I was shocked then to see the very tiny article in a tabloid saying that "Leroy" had died at 41.

However, I hadn't heard anything about Jonathan Brandis who I adored in both Seaquest and Sidekicks (with Chuck Norris) until I read here. OK so he was an actor who I didn't know personally, but when you see such a fresh faced kid in films like Never Ending Story, they stick in your mind like that. I can't believe he was only 27 and it seems like yet another waste of life.

I heard about Jonathan over at Scifi.com in their news section, there still hasn't been any cause of death released, but they were looking at a possible suicide the last I heard. Not sure how solid that is though.

According to CNN, Jonathan Brandis's passing has been officially listed as a suicide. Very sad news.

They were both so young!
