Wow the total's up to £165,853 but still need to get over 5 million! Please donate guys. We still have Pudsey's in store so come buy them guys!
I don't give to charity, never have done, probably never will.
Yes, it's quite sad that kids around the world live in squallor, but to put it bluntly, it's not my problem and i don't feel that it's my moral obligation to try and help them.
I live quite comfortably it's true, but i don't think i live comfortably enough that i can afford to go give money away.
Selfish maybe, but honest

I sent the kids to school with money for their non uniform day and we have a Pudsey bear.
I don't mind giving some of what little I've got but I do object to it when it's rammed down my throat. I choose when and what charities I give to and I don't need to be hounded in the streets by people with collection tins.

Yeah, this is exactly how I feel. Whether it is their intention or not, you feel obligated to give something otherwise you feel guilty if you don't.

My Dad, who works for B & Q, got involved. Where they work, there is a mixture of Pompey and Saints fans. So, for CIN, they decided to swap shirts with the Saints fans wearing Pompey shirts and vice versa.
One Pompey fan said he'd have to wear something underneath the shirt so it didn't touch his skin!
Not that i'm saying you should give to charity, as its up to the person. But if you were in their situation would you not be greatful that other people have donated money so you can live?

Possibly, but i'm not in their situation and as such i don't need to act as if i was.
I'll give as much as i can to friends and family, but these charities represent people who i have no emotional tie to and who have no connection to me, so i don't feel the need to help them.

Okay, maybe it's the beer talking but, damn, Gaby Roslin looks fit in that black dress and FMBs!
Hannah has a pair of those cute Pudsey Bear ears that you can get from ASDA, as well as a Pudsey bear toy and numerous stickers. Joel also had a non uniform day today where he took in a donation. Yesterday he and his classmates made some Pudsey Bear biscuits and buns and they were lovely
Hee hee. I thought one of the first rules of motherhood was never eat anything they cook at school. B bought some cookies home the other day but knowing the way he picks his nose I declined at tasting them and told him Sam would share it with him

I saw it
Did anyone see Cliff Richard's first appearence? I think he's beginning to go a little senile :/
I've donated to various people who've done something a little different - what I like about Comic Relief and Children in need is that they pass the money from donations to some of the less 'fashionable' causes out there.
Charities relating to cancer, young children and old people get a lot of support form people all year round. I'm not saying that these charities aren't worthy of the money that they are given, but there are a lot of projects out there dealing with issues that don't attract great amounts of money. Kids who suffer because of the effects of prostitution, homelessness, drugs and AIDS benefit from the money that Children in Need and Comic Relief raise.
Watching the programme last night two of the films about where last years money went really made me think. One was related to a Drugs project in Bristol where one girl who'd become an addict at 13yrs old and really hit rock bottom had come to realise that actually she was worth something as a person and wasn't just 'another addict'. The other was a Youth Work project in Liverpool dealing with Kids who'd been excluded frm school. The workers at this project engaged the kids, encouraged them to continue their education and taught them a sense of self worth, to teh point where one of these kids wanted to be a youth worker herself so that she could help others like she had been helped.
Neither of these cases directly affects me, but if i can help one people find the world a slightly better place coz I paid £5 to see Robbie Williams get his kit off then this can only be a good thing.

I knew it was November (as T21 have done Nos stuff for the past few years) but as the date was the 15th I assumed it had taken place last week. As it was I ended up watching most of it from 10pm onwards

I thought this had already happened this year???
I had visions of T's mum-out-law bidding for Cliff Richard
I believe the final nights total was well over £15 million

As T said - that was Comic Relief. And the monkey was the best thing in it *snigger*
