9/11 - First day of Sam being at big school. Remember being outside the school waiting and got texts from Lexy & a call from Jazz.

9/11 i was in edinburgh staying with ELC for a short break, i got a text from ethan and elc saying what had happened and went into my fave pub and it was on all the screens i was there was hours watching it.

Gulf War One: Watching BBC2 waiting for some football highlights to come on or something. They kept saying they would get to it in 20 minutes, but never did! The CNN coverage which the BBC was showing was classic though - they were broadcasting from their hotel and commentating on Cruise missiles going past their window and hanging a left at the bottom of the street!

Princess Di: In bed. Heard when I woke up on the Sunday morning, went and tols my parents, but they thought I was joking. That's not funny!

9/11: Had moved to Cardiff the previous day and were sorting out our flat. Listening to Radio 5, until we managed to find the TV and set it up.

..Gulf War 1 started? I have no idea. What year was that anyway?

..Princess Diana died? I was in bed. My mum woke me up with the news that morning, I grunted, turned over & went back to sleep.
I didn't know her (& don't think I quite believed my mum anyway!), so it was just cutting into my sleep time.

..terrorism struck on 9/11 I was at work. More precisely I was glomming their net connection when I happened across the BBC website & the news was everywhere.

9/11: at work then it came on the radio so started looking for more news on the web.

Gulf War...... I was 6, so no idea, probably in bed.

Princess Di....Definately in bed, definately didn't care since my dad had died a couple of days earlier, which made it far more memorable than it would have been otherwise.

9/11.......It was the end of school and was sat in an classroom doing maths homework with a couple of people. Phoned mum for a lift home and she told me. The spooky thing is, a few months later I found a bus ticket for that day, when I obviously got a lift home....spooky eh? ha ha

First Gulf War: Getting up to go to work. My mum had the TV on, and she never watched TV in the morning. Just remember eating my breakfast and getting my work stuff together and watching the coverage.

Princess Diana's death: Asleep in bed. Ray got up with Joel, who was three and a bit at the time and i was sleeping in. He woke me up and told me what happened and i spent the rest of the day in front of the TV watching in shock. Ray started his new job the day after it all happened, which is how i remember how long he's been there.

9/11: I'd just finished giving Hannah her lunch and turned on the TV to watch something, but there was a news bulletin on instead. I remember seeing the Towers on fire and the newscasters speculating whether it could've been an accident. I turned over to SKY news and just missed the second plane striking. Watched it for the rest of the day in absolute stunned disbelief. Ray was on nightshift at the time and normally i don't wake him before it's time to get him up, but this time i made the exception. I was honestly scared of what the future could hold then.

Gulf War No idea - getting ready for work perhaps? All I remember though is a friend of mine was in the forces and going out there.

Princess Diana Dying coming in from a night out clubbing - I put the telly on, saw the newsflash and couldn't believe it as I thought I was drunk.

September 11th On my Honeymoon in Paris. I just kept thinking how much I wanted to get home and be with Georgia

I think I was sleeping for all of them..

Gulf War - On holiday with the family in Cyprus. Sat having lunch one day watching the planes which kept taking off from RAF Acrotiri and wondering what on earth was going on.

Princess Diana - in bed.

9/11 At work watching news feeds from the Sky News web site, wondering if my cousin (who works just off Wall St) had been affected. Little did I know at the time that he had just walked into World Trade 1 when the first plane hit and was lucky enough to get out again.

Gulf War = I was about 6 when this was so i asume i was at school.

Death of Di = I was on holiday, was the day we were coming home and i got up to watch a second part of saved by the bell and was really angry when it wasn;t on, we thought the queen mum was dead but then it was Di. My granddad died 2 weeks before it

9/11 = i was at home and watching sommit like Kilroy when it happened because it was interupted then i remember calling my mum and dad at work and then chatting online to people...i think Milky was one of them

Gulf War - No idea...

Princess Diana's death - I was in bed at home. My mum woke me up in the morning and told me. I suddenly sat bolt upright and stared at her as if questioning whether she was serious or not...

9/11 - At work. I was sat at my desk when someone came into the office and told us (fairly matter-of-factly) that a plane had crashed into the World Trade Centre. We all assumed it was some kind of accident and didn't think it was anything too serious. I then went downstairs and saw the news coverage on TV and realised how bad it was. Saw the second plane crashing and realised it wasn't an accident. A lot of the rest of the day was spent watching the aftermath of it all. It was a very weird day...

Gulf War one: no idea.

Princess Di: I couldn't get to sleep, so I had the radio on in the eary small hours, and heard that she'd been injured in a car-crash. Thought no more of it until I was greeted with the obvious the following morning, and gave that about the same regard.

9-11: Trying to get some essay or the other down, gave up on it and switched on News24 to kill some time. It was a shade past 2pm, and at first, along with the rest of the world, I thought, what a terrible accident, until I saw the second plane strike in real time, then the horrible realisation began to sink in. Stayed glued to News24, BBC news and finally 'Newsnight' until I feel asleep from sheer exhaustion. Awful unreal day.

Went home and jumped on the net where I was chatting to people on T21 chat and also to some Americans via mIrc..they were asking me to relay what was being said on Sky News for them. It was pretty surreal.

Funnily enough I was in an ICQ chatroom .... and people started talking about it ... I switched on the tv and sat and watched as the second plane smashed into the building
