The big problem with something like this is that if they start closing down websites where will they stop. I haven't seen the one in question but it is probably rather unsavoury. In any event, if it were shut down, no doubt another would spring up in it's place.

Do as thy will, but harm none. It is alleged this site has the express intention of harming other people, of inciting attacks against an arbitary list whose views its owners disagree with, and facilitating said attacks by publishing their contact details. If the allegations are true, it ceases to be an issue of free speech, anymore than conspiracy to commit murder is an issue of free speech. I won't post the url here, but google it and judge for yourself.
Take it down, and make those responsible face charges.

Uh, just to clarify, could you elaborate on that?

Take it down, and make those responsible pay for their crimes.
That was remis: bad, bad wording. Their alleged crimes.
Take down the website, and bring charges against those who run it for inciting violence. The Offences Against the Person Act 1861 would be a good place to start.

Unless of course it's just a government ploy to create public out cry and get support for greater powers and increased censorship.....no I'm not just being paranoid, it's been done a number of times before......don't look at me me like that.....
Actually in this case it's the Left that's had to light a fire under Blunkett's posterior. Johan Hari, who I normally don't have an overabundence of time for, wrote a a perfectly reasonable article in the Indy about the site, which he claimed placed him and others in danger of life and limb.
As far as I can see, no one's calling for any draconian new laws. It's already a solid legal precedent that you cannot incite violence, as the Muslim cleric Sheikh Abdullah el-Faisal discovered to his cost when he was jailed for 9 years for soliciting murder.
