I don't think it's old fashioned. When I get married I'm expecting it to be for life therefore I wouldn't just rush into marrying anyone 'cos I was drunk/bored/desperate. I save those reasons for the men I date

Aren't they already in the process of getting it anulled? Surely for that to happen there has to be a good reason, better than a joke that went too far or is that just me?

Well, according to the marriage licence office that issued her with said licence to get married, she wasn't drunk, or, at least didn't exhibit any signs of being drunk. As one would expect, it is illegal to issue marriage licences to people who are, or suspected to be, intoxicated.

So, either Britney can hide her drunkedness well. Or she's blaming the whole thing on drink so she can get the marriage annulled rather than admit that the whole thing was a publicity stunt to promote her new album.
