I ordered a dvd set before christmas, and a friend sent a card from malaysia, one of them has just arrived..

Oh, and royal mail's cheek of charging me £4 on top of customs vat grr.. Why can't customs just bill me direct.. *mutters*

It would certainly explain why Playboy items sent on ther 22nd December STILL haven't reached me

I know the slowest part of journey is in this country, thankfully my dvd supplier has a Dhl option, which somehow manages to avoid customs charges most of the time.

I sent a package over to America a couple of weeks before Christmas ... my friend still hasn't received it

Desire sent DM an easter egg last year and he never got it that was just from w.yorkshire to london.
from personal experiences i can say royal mail does my head in sometimes.

Seems to vary to a ridiculous amount.

Pre-Christmas I sent a card 1st class that was picked up from the box midday Sunday...and it got there next day

Other times I've had to wait a week + for something to arrive.

Internationally I've had a pretty good time of it, stuff has been arriving within 2 weeks or so of it being sent. Except the stuff that's been caught up in customs (which I totally forgot about when ordering )
