Nope - i'm just stuck for an 'other half' lol
Valentines
Yes I know its agesssss...but i'm bored and men are SO hard to buy for. What are you're plans guys? As my boyfriend's at uni it looks like i'll be sending him presents. I have a few ideas like buy him a massage but he lives in Chatham (poo hole) so I'd have to buy it over the phone, just seems too hassle worthy. Anyone stuck on idea's for their other half?

To be truthful i haven't thought that far ahead. Probably will get his nibs a top or something. His birthday is two weeks after that as well.
I doubt we'll be going out anywhere, as i said, i haven't thought that far ahead.

If you're single, you just see Valentines Day as a big rip off to swell the coffers of the greedy card companies.
*bitter much*
lil_miss and I are saving for our holiday to New York in the easter (a hotel in the city for three weeks, whoo), so this Valentines will be a fairly low key affair. A trip to a restaurant (big fan of eating out) and then... stuff... afterwards
I never do anything for Valentines Day. I think it's silly to have one day where you should express your love for someone. It's a day for Hallmark cards.
oh yeah i'd forgotten about valentine's day thanks for the reminder hehehe
I doubt i'll be buying anything valentinsey for bofy because i refuse to give card companies and stuff my money. Just recently in economics we did an example of the price of roses and how much/ why they shoot up and how much more revnenue they get. (twas very interesting *cough*geek*cough* annnyywaaayyyyy i'm yammering here....maybe a cd or something he wants i'll get him
But i don't know what i'm doing/buying if anything, don't even know if we'll get the chance to spend the day together

True, but it's a good holiday. Ex and i never commercalised it but we'd do nice things for each other, like he'd send me a love letter or poem. I'd do something like live out a fantasy for him, and other stuff!

Valentines is a necessity in my book because so many men need reminding to express their love.
(please note i said many men, not all, before you all jump down my throat)
Haven't thought about it at all really. *Scratches Head* erm..... probably do absolutely nothing for it as our babysitter now has a boyfriend herself so a night out won't be happening for us
Pressie wise? No idea......
To be honest I agree with Teresa - it's just another commercialised day........

I want it to be quite special, as we'll be getting married 5 months later! I haven't given much thought of what to do yet though.
I agree that it's too commercialised, but at the same time I'm a soppy romantic and love it all!

There must be no depression. I hereby request and require all goodly and unattached citizens to enjoy an evening of abandon and debauchery that would have Keith Moon reaching for the Alka Seltzer. It's the law.

I've (almost) never actually felt this way. Despite all the Valentines Days I've spent single, I still enjoyed them. I'd just see all the happy couples around me and it'd make me smile. But that's just the way I am really. John Lennon got it right when he said All You Need is Love.

No more silly than having one day for spreading joy and goodwill to all, but that's not gonna stop me celebrating Christmas.
