I'm a Spanish Resident!
YES!
it took 6 months (3 months in spanigh time, i'm well used to that tho)
And now they want me! i can stay here till 2008 when i can become a citizen.
My council tax is 74 euros a year, my NI is nil, unless i want to work, even then, I'd pay less than 30 euros a month (without having to work, or even if i do it's the same) it'll then give me free heath, free benifits and other entitlements!

I live 30 mins inland from Malaga, i'm not studying anything, i live here and i'm fine, thanks Sang. or should i say Muy bien!
My spanish is crap though (damn dyslexic brain!)

I hail from Gibraltar, hence my questions in spanish. Great place if you have cravings for Safeway food and BhS clothes. Nice apes too!
Having only been to malaga when i was very little I cannot remember very much of it, but I here it is nice.

p.s. spanish is relatively easy, just forget all those silly rules in english and say what is written. Remember the vowels are 'big' and are said phonetically

I'm your gal! I warn you though that I did not learn the language as such since I grew up speaking both english and spanish so no hard questions on adverbs and grammer, because I will be just as stuck!

Aramita- i go to safeway on Gib at least once a month. Where else can i get Aunt bessies roast tatties and Bisto! Mmmm. Not to mention cigarettes at £7 a carton, english videos and CD's, weird english veg like parsnips and english christmas/B-day cards.
It's not pronouncing spanish thats my problem, it's remembring it! I'm not too bad at home but when i speak to the spanish i get flustered. I frequently tell people my dog is 10 tables old! (meses/mesas)

Cat, I know what you mean when i was there in November by aunties presented me with safeway mince pies as an early Christmas pressie. i think she forgot that i do not find english food that novel anymore!
Gib is great for the british comfort things, but we like to go to Pryca in la Linea for cheap stuff like loo roll, fresh olives, chorizo and nice baked bread
