Bye bye, Evolution

As you can see at the article linked above, the Superintendant of education in the state of Georgia has proposed that they drop any mention of evolution from middle and high schools and replace it with the term 'biological changes over time'.

It seems the teachers are up in arms over it and i'd say rightly so. Despite religion falling back in the public consciousness, many people still believe in creationism. But whether it is true or not, Evolution is a major scientific theory and kids should be educated about it.

As it says in the article, if you remove evolution, you undercut children's understanding of what have become widely accepted scientific issues. Crazy.
