I certainly am. I'm a complete consumer and i love it. I have several DVD players of various incarnations, a mobile phone, a digital camera, a brand spanking new mini-disc player (and a 2nd, older one), loads of videos and dvds, computer games, CDs and whatever else.
Why? Because i can.
I love buying stuff, especially when it's all shiny and silver. I'm a gadget junkie and the shops must love me. I am loyal to certain brands and i would never dream of buying others. I'm not so bad with clothes (although i have a thing about expensive Nike trainers - was gutted when i couldn't afford any last time i had new trainers), but with the stuff i listed before and stuff like it, i just can't help myself.
I did use to be really into gagets, but haven't bought much for a while now.
I had a Psion series 3 & a Psion series 5 but I haven't used any kind of electronic organiser for over a year now.
I have a 2+ year old Minidisc walkman that I still going strong & my mobile phone has all the features i need (the ability to phone people)
The one thing I do tend to buy a lot of is torches. I dunno why, but at last count I had 4 Maglites (of various sizes) 2 head torches, a key ring LED thing & a Streamlight, which is a very thin pen type LED torch.
Oh & a flat torch that fits in the sun visor on my car.
I've now decided to get my Psion 5 back on the road. I've got it working again, now all it needs is a respray to replace all that dodgy peeling paint.
I was thinking bright pink.

Astronut What I wouldn't give for a lasso and some crazy glue...
I've always looked at the new stuff, thought "that's pretty - can't afford it" - then if it's still something I want six months later, bought it then...
Basically, I like gadgets that are "cool" as far as I'm concerned, and reasonably priced. I won't buy it otherwise - I have a fairly primitive mobile phone (don't need anything fancy), a psion handheld computer to write on (can't stand palm pcs), decent but non-digital/non-APS camera, and a minidisc player rather than mpeg (larger, but better sound quality IMO!). My PC is 2 years out of date, no ADSL, no scanner and my DVD player does region 2 only.
Not an addict, but a "someday, maybe"

Me? Like gadgets? Oh no, no, no.
*Hastily knocks digital video camera, digital still camera, dvd player and dvds, game boy advance, SEVERAL mobile phones, various different webcams, psion, compaq i-paq, large stack of minidisks, etc out of view*
I used to like collecting various guitar pedals as well, but I've gone off those, wouldn't mind a couple of those Danelectro ones though, the ones named after 50s diner foods..

No not really into into gadgets, but I know what you mean because I am totally addicted to clothes. I just can't help myself.
Not exactly into the latest up-to-the second whiz-bang gadgetry, but I do tend to hoard old tech stuff (5 computers, 2 Pa1m Pilots, a Newton, countless petty electronics etc).
