OK, so I'm having a bit of trouble with video files - a mate of mine put some on CD for me, and we watched a couple of eps round his with no problems, but when I got them home and tried to play them on my laptop, they wouldn't play back properly.
There is perfect sound on the files, but the picture is all green!! Theres solid green colour at the bottom of the screen, and that turns into speckles as you move up the picture; it remains static wherever you are in the file.
I've installed all the codecs I can think of, as well as changing my screen resolution.
Anyone have any ideas?

Vinnie Just because you don't beleive in something, doesn't mean it's not true.
If the files are in DivX make sure you have the correct version installed.
Try a different video player, might be the player doesn't like it.

I downloaded the kazaa lite codec pack and that seems to have done it
