Everything we see and hear about BB is highly edited and what BB want us to see, prime examples being not seeing Dan carrying Emma out of the house while she is telling Victor over and over again she will kill him, not showing Emmas remarks about Victors colour and yet allowing her crying to Dan saying Victor had called her a racist.

BB has totaly lost control over the HM's and I think we might find this being the last BB ever

Yeah I thought Jason made himself look really stupid for going crazy. And Marco shouldn't have wound him up, but I found Marco funny 'cause he was just laughing at Jason when he was shouting at him. Just made him madder, but oh well!
Yeah I think Emma was wrong to start on Victor, but it was alwasy gonna happen. I can't believe he was like squareing up to her! She's a TINY LITTLE GIRL. I can't believe guys that hit girls it is so wrong. Victor's a fool.
I didn't get why Vanessa went crazy at Nadia. It was like really uncalled for! I think she was just feeling left out of the fighting and wanted a fight as well?
And as for Shell, I like her and stuff, and maybe she was upset, but I hate the way she always tries to make everything about her. It's annoying.
Last night really changed my opinions on loads of them. I like Dan now, he was really cool tryna calm everyone down. And Michelle I've liked since she went in the bedsit, but I was surprised she didn't get involved. She was upset though.
I REALLY hate Jason, like even more than Victor. I really hope he goes next week.
And poor Emma in the bedsit all alone, crying and not able to get to sleep. I love her! Will she be returning to the house anytime soon?

It was Emma who threw teh tray at Victor first, him flinging it back was a reaction to it.. almost a reflex.. thats when Emma started kicking out. As Sange says the editing on last nights show removed a lot of stuff that showed what Emma was saying and doing - lets face it, if it was Victor who was the big threat and they thought he was going to hit a woman it would have been him in the bedsit not Emma - who is still in there btw.

I think Victor did well in the face of what was happening to him to not resort to violence. Emma is a nasty vicious person and she's far to volitile to be left in the house. They should kick her out and bring in one of the standby people in her place.

As for Vanessa having ago at Nadia... entirely justified. Nadia had been stirring up EVERY confrontation of the evening to that point. I know I would have told her to **** off too. That started off Nadia screaming awful insults at Vanessa that i can't repeat on a family friendly site. I don't liek Vanessa, but i know i wouldn't have been able to keep my cool in that situation

Given what's happened in the last couple of days I wouldn't be suprised if some of the housemates make (legal) complaints about how they've been represented in the "highlights", as they've given the impression of being very pro-Marco & Emma, and anti-Victor and Jason, and although the latter two have done themselves few favours the presentation of the events seems very biased.

I agree Callum, to be honest up until the fight and even after it Victor and Jasons only "crime" was playing the game, working out who to try and evict and working together, so they bitched behind peoples backs doesn't that happen every year, the problem this year is BB wanted high rateings...well that they have got but at what price?

They seem to have filled the house with wanabees and nutters this year because last year was classed as Boring, but inlight of what has happened I think they have shot themselves in the foot.

For the exact same reason it would be wrong for Jason to hit Marco - it would be (in most cases) completely unfair as one party is stronger than the other (Victor is huge! he could have done Emma ALOT of damage if he wanted to without her having any chance to defend herself).

Okay I know he didn't hit her. And I don't really think of it as a sexist attitude, I think it is totally wrong for a lad to hit a girl and I would definitely never ever do it.
It's like Yally said, it's too uneven and unfair.
I can't really put my reasoning into words, but no, lads just don't hit girls. Are you saying you would?

If it was in self-defence, yes. Also your wrong, it's entirely sexist, it places different rules and discriminates based on gender. Had Emma done that to me I would not have held back, quite simply because it would have been a case of stop her or incur serious injury. But that's just me, maybes it's because I have stupid notions like equality.

How is a physical fight between a small woman like Emma and a big man like Victor even the slightest bit equal?

If I hit a boy I would expect to get one in return. I can't stand girls who think they can go around mouthing off, punching men and not expect anything in return.

I agree completely - hitting anyone is wrong whatever their sex.

I spent ages this afternoon typing my opinions of the fight and of all the housemates. Unfortunately my boss walked in and I had to close down quickly and didn't have time to post it. Can't be bothered to type it all again but in summary my opinions of last night are:

Stu and Dan: Came off well trying to stop the conflicts.
Nadia, Marc and Emma: Nasty little stirrers - Emma being the worst.
Jason and Victor: Heavily provoked but probably over-reacted. (although I felt sorry for Jason cos Marco was winding the hell out of me and I'm not even living there with him!)
Vanessa: Had a go at Nadia which is always good.
Shell: Bless - Just wanted to cuddle her (no change on normal really)
Michelle: Too distracted by her chicken to get involved.
Ahmed: Lazy git - does anything get him out of bed?

Lawyers/Police probably had control over what was/wasn't shown and that is why the editing seemed strange IMHO.

Eviction has apparently been cancelled tonight.

And neither do I anymore. C4 crossed the line this season. And, while I was ready to give them the benefit of the doubt, this past week's occurences have turned me off completely.

It's quite incredible the way people can watch the same bit of footage and draw wildly differing versions of the events that happened. It seems like there's two distinct groups outside the house as well as inside.

I basically agree with what Sydney has posted above. I've been talking to a few people at work about this today and had almost come to the conclusion that I was the only person who had this opinion, so it's quite reassuring to know that this isn't the case.

This was originally gonna be a Journal entry, cos I'm not really sure where it's gonna go, but I thought I'd put it on here instead. So be prepared for a lot of rambling. And if I find there's stuff that I can't put on here, I might do a journal post as well...

In terms of this incident as a whole, it was not enjoyable, or even comfortable viewing. Thankfully the housemates have made some progress towards restoring peace (showing them the England v Switzerland game was a very smart move from BB), though it'll take a while before it's back to anywhere remotely resembling normal. And I'm really not looking forward to Emma going back into the house, I really was hoping she'd be kicked out. It's gonna be a ropey week coming up...

In short, 'Evil' Big Brother sucks ass, bring back the regular, slightly evil Big Brother... semi-evil, quasi-evil, the Diet Coke of evil...


And on a side note, on the whole sexist/boy-hit-girl topic, what a pile of Tottenham! I'm gonna use some quotes here but I'm gonna leave the names off because I don't want to seem like I'm attacking anyone, I'm just trying to make my point a bit more coherent...

That's like saying that you are stronger than every girl out there, which I'm sure you'll agree is wrong.

Also, in my opinion (which as I said before not everyone agrees with) in both of the 'fights' in question (Marco v Jason and Emma v Victor) it was the so-called weaker parties that threw the first 'punch' (or tray in Emma's case).

That's exactly what I was trying to say, I just never got round to it No one should be hitting anybody really, but it happens - hit someone much weaker than yourself and you're nothing but a bully (yes, even if they hit you first, self defence and beating someone down are two very different things).

I don't really know what was going on the other night, but from what I could tell, Jason was over reacting to Marco DANCING, nothing else. Emma did throw the plate first, but sideways and not really aimed at anyone - Victor then threw it at her head when her back was turned! I don't care how big he is, or even it was partly my fault, I'd have torn him to pieces for that I guess everyone was as fault....

I've never really been into Big Brother, but this year it HAS gone interesting and I will keep watching it for the time being... it does seem wrong to be manipulating people into stuff like this (even putting them in a smaller house to encourage aggression) and I don't think you could really ever know what you're letting yourself in for (how can you give informed consent if you blatantly don't understand the rules and don't even know what a formal warning is?!). But if I don't watch it, what am I going to do while I'm trying not to revise?

Not that I'm defending Jason in any way 'cos I can't stand him, but in all honesty I think I may have reacted in a similar way. They were all drunk, Jason was wound up anyway and then he had Marco all squealy and waving his arms in his face. You just don't get in someones face like that when you know they're pissed off.
