Faith v Sydney Bristow - I'm gonna disagree with everyone on this one. Slayer strength isn't going to help much against a CIA issue firearm really is it?

Spike (souled) v Blade - Blade seems to have this misguided idea that silver bullets work on Vampires....I reckon Spike'll teach him the error of his ways....

Our Syd'll have the sense to keep Faith at a distance and go for bullets over brawn....

Surely we are matching powers/skills? Matching characters pretty much rules out any good characters winning, because they wouldn't have it in them to kill. It also means that some pairings simply wouldn't happen, because they'd have no reason to harm each other: Daredevil v Angel, for instance.

Surely we have to assume a death-match situation regardless of the characters of the individuals involved?

I disagree, surely we aren’t matching just powers and skills, that would make this the “ultimate powers and skills tournament”. That’s 2 doors down on the left, this is the “ultimate badass tournament” Where we’re matching badass against badass. So like you said, good characters who don’t have the killer instinct shouldn’t win. (Again this is the “ultimate badass tournament”, not ultimate good-guy tournament.)

Even if we're not talking death-match, no-one can get near Magneto if he doesn't want it: In UXM #304 Magneto freezes the entirety of the x-men, x-factor, and x-force simultaneously by gripping the iron-fibres in their blood (hey, it doesn't have to be good science to be what marvel says). In the same issue he forces Wolverine's claws to retract and pushes him away when he tries to attack.

There you go, he freezes them. He doesnÂ’t molecularly dissassemble them, or vapourise their blood or whatever, he stops them. Is that a badass thing to do? No, itÂ’s not.

Yes IÂ’d say that MagnetoÂ’s powers are very very powerful, but heÂ’s not enough of a badass to use them in such a definite way.

In New X-men #150 Magneto has been hit by Phoenix, Weapon 13 and Cyclops before Wolverine gets a crack at him, and after Magneto has given up and begged for death. Cheating a bit, methinks.

Ok ok, so Wolvie had a little help from his friends, but I have to ask, is giving up and begging to die a particularly badass thing to do?

This isn't really fair, apart from the first match, I love the rest equally!!! *stratches head* um ok lets just go for cool/sex appeal factors

I think Blade just oozes coolness and might not talk as much as Spike during the fight

I'd like to say Syd, but I'm afraid her sex appeal is a lot of wigs and disguises. Faith has that natural flair and she's tough with it (still love ya Syd!)

Gahh Sam snook in there with a last vote that made the Wolverine v Magneto match a tie :O

I vote for magneto, because while they are very evenly matched, Wolvie has been given the upper hand in comics, because well, hes the good guy and they have to win!

Not here tho, Wolvie is toast
