Did take a while to place you though when we first met though - I knew I'd seen the name kelspook somewhere, just wasn't sure where. (Un?)fortunately, I'm one of those people obsessive and anal enough to take a laptop to a con and to use it to resolve questions bugging me!

Heh. I've lost count of the number of times someone's come up to me and said something like "You must be Ming." Guess it's what comes of being ethnically distinctive at cons! Still, I've noticed a few more oriental chaps about recently and apparently one of them was being mistaken for me at Fusion!
You weren't the only person to have me at a disadvantage that weekend- a lass came up to me and said "Excuse me, are you Kelspook?"

It's just a pity that Teryl Rothery isn't going to be there as well- by the looks of things, she only seems to do the Wolf cons in the UK, and as Amanda Tapping doesn't seem to have anything to do with them doubt we'll ever see it happen now- would have been great to see them both onstage at the same time... but Peter Deluise and Martin Wood! Stargate gods themselves!- has to be done, mate *grin*.

Well, I've had Starfury Eternal and Hyperion so far this year, had to cancel Fusion due to sister's wedding, and have White Room and SG-8 still to come, on successive weekends end Oct/start Nov! Another con in Nov could prove fatal... Oh, and booked for Starfury Serenity next year and plan on booking Starfury Galactica ASAP...
I know what you mean about trying to keep con visits under control though- I've got the SG Glasgow con, L3 Stargate Universe and the Gabit Amanda Tapping weekend booked so far- but that's my lot I think.
It is kind of tempting, from friends' descriptions, but I suspect really only viable as part of a Canadian vacation.
One day I'll go to Gatecon, though. Pity that it's so far away!
Not that I'm aware of - I tend to keep the P-90 for SG-1 events. Not found an excuse to work it into the Buffy/Angel events I normally frequent. Have taken a pump-action shotgun along to one though and frequently supply friends with pistols and the like as props for their costumes!
So a guy at Fusion got mistaken for you? Was he wandering around with a P90 as well, like? *chuckle*

Yes the MK event. OK it's free to get in and mill around which is a bonus because you don't feel like you are spending money to browse. Also the inlaws are Stargate fans and we can take them to look and when they get fed up with the event they can go shopping around MK
