I'm a teacher so I always wait nervously for the results of all my classes.

Best of luck to all of you who are nervously waiting for results... both my nephews have GCSE and A Level results this month and to say they're biting their nails is an understatement.

Every year I wish people good luck and last year it was my first year telling my GCSE results, now its AS level Result time, 1 week this Thursday. My motto is "THERE'S ALWAYS RE-TAKES!"

It's a loooong time since I did my A Levels, but I got my 1st year MBA results a couple of weeks ago, and though I'm happy enough with them I'm hearing scare stories about the reults for one of the courses I'm taking next year. Ah well...

Good luck to everyone who's waiting -- it'll all be over soon and you can rest & unwind, before trecking of to uni where it all starts over again!

My friend Lyndsay goes to Keele uni and she loves it there she does physiotherapy and the uni's pretty cool from what i've seen of it.

My GCSE results are coming out in a couple of weeks, but I'm not really worried or anything. My friend's Dad said that once you take them, you are just waiting all summer for the results. But I don't feel like that, I really am not thinking about it at all (until now), and just enjoying the summer.
The thing is, what's the point of worrying, because they're done now, and no amount of worrying or whatever is gonna change the results.

My Alevel results were last year, I actually wasn't too botherd, GCSE's however were EVIL!!! Because the teachers made out they were life or death and i ended up completely petrified!

My advice is no point stressing over them, they're done now, theres nothing you can do to change the outcome! Just dont worry and i'm sure you've all done fantastic anyway! GOOD LUCK! xxxxxx

hehehehe, ditto! methinks i'll copy that motto. At least though, having a few module results already from the January exams, i know that i've done ok in some i guess *fingers crossed*

i also know that Wiggy on here is waiting for his A-levels too

I feel really lame.
I'm 32 and scared stooopid waiting for my GCSE exam results (astronomy). This is the last time I do nightschool course... next term I swear I'm taking up extreme knitting

Waiting for my A level and a whole pile of retakes results....the worst part is this is the end, no retakes after this! I'm not too bothered anymore, I'm taking a gap year, so I've not got any offers that need fulfilling and I know now that I'm not going to get my predicted grades - so there's no point in worrying about it, there's nothing I can do now! But then...there's still a side of me panicking like hell....

Its last chance saloon for me too, I gotta get the results to get to university, very nervous, espaecially as the day is getting closer................AUGUST 19th

GOOD LUCK I've got an hour and a half till I leave to get my AS results. Anyone else want to throw up except me? The thing is, I know I haven't done well.

One comment I would make to anyone worrying about results to get into uni, is that missing the grades needed isn't necessarily the end of the world.

If you don't get the grades you needed for a particular place phone up the department right away and talk to them, at the very least this ensures that if arbitrary admissions decissions need to be made by the department then people there will know your name, and know that you're keen to get in there -- I did really badly on my A levels but still got in to my first choice course on my first choice uni.
