I've had a couple of nominations from colleagues for unfortunately named people they've encountered but, alas, I suspect they'd be considered too rude for this forum (am I correct in assuming that names that look like rude words in English would not be appropriate here?).

Has anyone else noticed that during the end credits of bufy there is a bloke called thomas wan**r

last name of King, the first name of Wayne. the name of someone i once knew and not to far from describing him perfectly

The funniest one of those I heard was on the radio here a couple of weeks ago. Mr & Mrs Peacock have a newborn son. They decided to call him Drew. Took them a couple of weeks before anyone said his full name and then the horror hit them *snigger*

i used to go to school with a guy called drew peacock, funny that hwen he hit 16 he changed his name !!!!!!!

If they're genuine names that should be okay. Even the Beeb had the sense not to replace Thomas Wanker's name with morse code for the early evening slot!

The author that made me giggle when I worked in a mdeical bookshop was Studd, especially when you consider what field he was in:

OK...

well, colleagues have reported working with guys named Will Swallow and Horst Kraphol. The one who reported the latter also said, "we always thought it was a shame his first name wasn't Ernst - then he would have been "Herr E. Kraphol" ..."

Almost worthy of setting up shop next to Fu King Chinese Takeaway that one.
