Oh my god
That man was such an inspiration with the amount of charity work he did and how much he tried to help people
My heart goes out to his family who have spent so long helping him

Saw it on the new this morning so pulled myself out of bed to post it but Stoo already beat me to it so I crawled back in . Ashame he's dead.... an heart attack became his kryptonite Who could have thought that Superman would first be wheelchair bound and than die from an heart attck years later. The man of steel is no more. RIP
In that case you might want to consider taking less holiday.

It's very sad indeed. I liked Christopher Reeve, great actor and he was so hunky playing Superman.

I'm absolutely gutted. Christopher Reeve was my among my first - if not the first - schoolgirl crush.
Since his accident he'd shown huge strength of will and bravery and was an inspirational figure.
Does anyone know if he'd shot his scenes for his scheduled appearance in "Smallville" or not?

I thought it was a joke when I got a notification about a thread on it this morning?
So sad to have an icon like him (to me, anyway) pass away.

He did the scenes for Season 3 and they were already Broadcast ( "Rosetta" and "Legacy" )

Nothing has been said about any Season 4 work yet, but I imagine that nothing was filmed as they don't film all that far in advance.. The only Season 4 work involving him was still only a rumour while they were trying to fit in around his very busy schedule.

There was talk, the SV team were hoping to have him appear in Season Four at some point. I wonder where they'll go with that story. I have a thought but it'd be considered a spoiler... (if you've seen the s4 premiere then you'll know what i mean).
I really like Christopher Reeve as a person because he seemed like a really good person, someone who put himself out to help others.
Before his accident, he lived for many years in Manhattan. And during some of that time, I was working in Manhattan. Because of the organization I worked for, I knew about some of the activities he participated in. He was always giving his time to charities and working with environmental organizations and other groups to make the city a better place and help people in need. I admired that, and especially because he didn't make a publicity stunt out of it. A really good guy.

I was quite shocked when I saw this on the headlines of a newspaper stand this morning. This is a really big shame. Christopher Reeve was Superman. No question. All the best to him, wherever he may be now.
Raises fist and drink in salute at a true Icon and Hero he will be missed.
RIP
