Norbreck on tv
I'm sat here watching Package Holiday Undercover on ITV, and guess which Blackpool hotel has been featured for the last 10 minutes. So far, there have been complaints of smelly, damp, stained and dirty rooms, workmen at all hours, unfriendly staff. The refurbishments are supposed to be complete by March 2005.

lol Sean's already booked a con there for next September...although it's meant to be refurbished by then.

I'm disappointed I missed this, having been to the Norbreck twice for conventions (SG5 and EoDs) but never actually *stayed* in the hotel, I would have liked to see the wreck that is the actual hotel rooms themselves.
Was there any mention of food poisoning? That's the main story that gets knocked about each time before a Blackpool convention

i wouldn't stay in Norbreck Castle at all (well aside from the fact it's cheaper to stay at my own house ) Then again saying that, a lot of the hotels in Blackpool are pretty dire, (except the lovely one i had you all staying in a couple of years ago ) but i presume it's the same in any holiday resort. I guess because Norbreck Castle looks so grand on the outside and is so huge, it's expected to be much better than it is inside the rooms.
