Yep, have just had my first couple of Live games (as WeaponX85, if you're interested) and was even (sad/bored/delete as applicable) to create a T21 Clan called (you guessed it) T21, and have sent CJL an invite. Any other takers?
Halo 2
Anybody got the game?
I got it the other day and i'm very pleased with it. Didn't get very far through the first one, but i'm getting through this one quite handily. The levels are much more varied than in the first game, the enemies and weapons are cool. Good stuff.
Best of all though is the X-Box Live play. Varied, fast, frenetic fun. Now i just wish i wasn't so bad at it

I now dub thee (with a Plasma Sword, natch ) Sir Maffrew, of the T21 Halo 2 Round Table!
Well i'm slowly getting through the campaign.
I recently completed Halo 1, which was pretty cool, but i'm a wee bit dissapointed with Halo 2. I guess I expected it to have a huge opener, but the beginning slighlty confused me.
How did the master chief get back to Earth?
What state is Earth in?
I guess I just kinda lost the plot of the first one - That can happen if you spend 2 years trying to complete it.
I think the other problem is that I played all of Halo 2 as a co-op with my flatmate, but now that we've moved and i'm playing Halo 2 on my own, I kinda miss the live interaction. I guess that's what X-Box live is for.
I'd love to join the T-21 Clan (is it just you 2 guys just now?) but I think you're only allowed to join one clan only, and i'm already a member of one. Hey, but if that doesn't work out, i'll be knocking on your door.
I've just blew up the big spidery thing. That was cool.

Yep. Playing through a second time. Not ventured onto Live with this yet but I certainly intend to so I'd be up for a clan invitation - gamertag is The Monkey King.
I'm still irritated about the ending though. Given the gestation period of games like this, the point we're at in the Xbox's life cycle and Halo's importance in making the Xbox a viable console platform, I have this horrible suspicion Halo 3 will be a Xbox 2 launch title...

Can we be a tad careful about how we discuss the ending? "We" being people who've actually finished it (not currently including me), that is...
Ming, I'll send you an invite in a little bit (I want to get some sleep first before setting my xbox back up)

I've got it. Not over impressed with the single player game, but I mainly bought it for the XBL multiplayer anyway. Its a fantastic game online, and pretty lag free, even when playing dodgy foreigners
Dodgy foreigners haven't got anything on little kids, or even worse, American kids... (don't worry, I quite like Americans as long as they're not complete idiots!)
I was playing an online team game last week when I ran across some sniper guy on the other team, so I started blasting him with twin SMG's.
I could hear what was going through his headpiece (with the whole proximity thing, which as far as realistic touches go, is pretty cool) and the guy (who sounded about 12 at most) was screaming "Ohmigod Ohmigod he's shooting he's shooting me!! **** off!!" plus lots of immature laughter in the background. But I suppose he could have been more annoying; he could have been an American 12 year old; now that would have *really* ticked me off.

Is it just me or does anyone else miss the assault rifle from Halo 1? The battle rifle's scope's nice and all that but I miss the Aliens-esque fun of frantically retreating while Rock 'n' Rolling with the assault rifle. I know there's the SMG but somehow it just doesn't feel the same!
Yeah, I would've preferred they keep the original ones in there somewhere (at least for deathmatch use) as well as the new ones... as well as not making some of the original weapons that're still in there (ie: shotgun and sniper rifle) less powerful...
