My user name came from a chat we had a long time ago.

Morph was telling everyone (co-incidentally) how his name was nothing to do with Tony Hart and little plasticine men, and more to do with the "Sandman" graphic novels he has a big collection of.

fishie = shortened version of the previous "weirdfish" which is a snowboard, surfing and clothing range and seeing as I'm into snowboarding.... there ya go

Incidentally, I have a sweatshirt with "weirdfish" plastered across the back and I was walking down the street one day past a group of teenage girls and one commented about the logo and her friend who hadn't been paying attention said "who's a weirdfish..?" So the idea kinda stuck

not much to tell, it's been my nickname for as long as i can remember and for the uneducated its because i support arsenal, so there you have it everyone has a cross in life to bear and i guess thats mine !!!

Mine was actually me being a bit dim and mixing up my username, my login id and my name.
The first 2 are the same as on the previous T21 site (wiccagirl), and the mix up left my name as my username (Taz).

It's as simple(ahem!)as that really

If it's possible, I think I may possibly be more confused than anyone else reading this wacky ole post...

{weeps gently} All those years, I thought I was the only one...

When I signed on to Buffy UK, I tried to enter my real name in the box that I'd assumed was for that purpose, only to have the entry rejected because of the space. So I typed in 'Joe' instead, and that became my screen-name, chiz chiz.

Now the alias I usually employ, the one that is hinted at by my email address, is a tad less prosaic. 'Stardark' is a translation of a name from 'The Silmarillion', Elendur. I chose it because it has both an elfy and a vampy feel to it, and I'm a fan of Julian May and Anne Rice.

(when I tried to use it as my AOL screen-name, though, I was surprised to find that someone had already nabbed it, so I had to settle for Starredark. Such is life)

Anyway, through sheer cussedness, I've stuck with 'Joe' through a few Buffy-related boards, although on the Buffy Boards per se, when they switched servers, some other Joe beat me to it, So I'm Joey there...

The first 'chat room' I ever spent time in was Blizzard's BattleNet - for the original Diablo game. My main character there was 'Alibi' (kick-ass maximised mage!), so I took the name with me when I started using ICQ as that was how most on-line folk new me.
There's a Forgotten Realms charcter called 'Alias' which I always kinda liked as a name, but I was determined to come up with something a bit different, and 'Alibi' was the result. It causes a lot of confusion, and a few people have asked whether I'm a criminal lawyer (I wish!) There's no connection with the 40 thieves either, as was suggested when I joined T21...
And yeah, it wasn't me, I was someplace else entirely. Look, I can produce a witness and everything...
