No you're not alone, but i wouldn't have said i was a closet fan! I've been really enjoying the series so far. The test match last weekend had me on the edge of my seat, and the play so far this match has been fantastic. Shame about the weather this morning though as i was really looking forward to today's play. I'm guessing that the Aussies won't have to follow on though as they've only got to get 34 more runs to avoid it and they've still got 3 wickets. i think they'll miss it narrowly.

I was glued to this all weekend and if I was still living in Liverpool I'd probably be there today. As it is I'll have to settle for watching it on the Guardian website

I'm not a fan of cricket (though my dad is, he watched the thursday & friday of this test match) but i've watched the end bit now and it was actually surprisingly interesting!

Ok, i didn't really have a clue what was going on (story of my life lol ) but i kinda got the gist that we needed to hit those stumpy things to get someone out and that would be a good thing and we would win...i didn't really understand that other reasons why we got people out, but i figured if the fielders were jumping up and down that meant they thought we'd done something good. I'm so untechnical lol!

But anyway, i actually enjoyed it lol!

Oh yeah, another reason why i enjoyed it! My mum said that Flintoff came from round here, that he played for St. Annes when he was younger. Nothing really interesting happens round here so it's exciting to watch someone who is from here on the telly!

The other main ways of getting out are if you get your pads in the way of the ball hitting the stumps (although that one is complicated) and getting caught by a fielder if the ball has come off your bat or glove without bouncing

WHOOOO HOOOOO its always nice for england to win but to stick it over the aussies via a south african born batsman makes it even better long live michael vaughn, freddie, k.p, the king of spain, hoggie, harmy, simon jones and the rest of the boys you have done us proud. BTW do any of those guys play football as we could do with a TEAM in that sport as wel WELL DONE ENGLAND !!!!
