Michael Sheard dies at home
Thought this might be of interest to some of our convention going members.

Michael Sheard was a great guest on the convention circuit, and I had the pleasure of meeting & sharing a drink with him on several occasions.
He will be missed, and I hope that the next big convention in the UK takes time to honour him.
(One memory I have of him was at a con in glasgow where he stood on a chair and conducted the disco to 'Schools out for Summer'! )
I know he was fond of of wee dram, so i'll be raising a glass to him next time i'm out.

Such a shame, I remember him mostly for the several Dr Who stories he appeared in.

Seems so sudden with him being so active recently on the event circuit

Probably known best to us over 30's as Mr Bronson from Grange Hill, or as Admiral Ozzel in Star Wars A New Hope, like CJL, i also had the pleasure of meeting him and sharing a scotch or two.
He was a great guest at lots of conventions and will be sadly missed.
