And this has what to do with Marmite Although must say its all fascinating to read although I haven't a clue what your going on about
Spit or Swallow?
'Spit or Swallow?' - Quite possibly the biggest, most asked question in the 20th Century and it's very important in society.
I am of course talking about that substance which people either love or hate...Marmite!!! Personally i can't stand the stuff. The smell alone makes me wretch, let alone the taste.
So i was wondering...
Do you Spit or Swallow???

It kind of went off at a Tangent.
That it did ..... and by the way Inc are you in the love it or hate it camp ?
I can take or leave it but quite enjoy a little Marmite under cheese on a crumpet.
I am in fact about to have a breakfast bagel with marmite on.

Gosh! You stay out for one night and look what you miss!
From now on keep it on topic please

So Red gets a point for correctly challenging Diandra, JayJay and Inc for deviation, but weÂ’ll give them a bonus point each, because we enjoyed their contribution...
And Red has six hours and twenty one minutes on Marmite

Is there something in the Terms of Service or Members Guide that requires sticking to the original topic?

I had a brief look but couldn't see anything (it is quite a lengthy read though and I am quite tired so could have missed it.)

The point of a topic as with any is to get people to discuss about "that" topic. Quiet often infact, people tend to waver from the the original topic as with this one, people started talking about Pizza's etc. Maybe if you feel that you wish to totaly change the topic matter it would be better to start a new thread?
Basically, don't do it again or I will close the thread or delete posts. If you don;t like it well you know what to do don't you?
No more warnings, do as we say or I *will* do the above with *no* discussion, which we don't have to do anyway.
Got it?

I'd suggest changing the name of the site to 'StayOnTopicOrWe'llKickYouOut21' in that case.
Marmite sucks.
Marmite sucks.
I don't see where the topic completely jumped out from what it originally started out as in a single post. The entire thread has naturally progressed from it's source (Marmite) through other foodstuffs (Pizza) through American influence on our culture.

If the entire thread was reliant on Marmite don't think it would've got very far. And neither would a lot of other threads if there wasn't some form of expansion (aside from those which simply ask open-ended questions that is)
Uh yeah, I think it was actually my fault. Being American, I didn't know what Marmite was, made some critical comment about how I'd think it would taste, was told quite rightly not to throw stones since some American food is pretty lame, then I said yeah, okay, but barbecue is great and justifies America's existence. Then we got on to other justifications for America's existence and other foods. And truthfully, the fact that I was hungry (usually am) while posting, and inclined to think about other food, probably contributed to it.

So I'm the original topic subvertor.
My red-faced apologies, and I'll try not to do it again.

/me sees Diandra all dressed in black slinking round threads subverting (I'm sure I just made that word up) them now
Don't think so... but I'm pretty sure Diandra invented 'subvertor'.

And *lol* at the image of Diandra as the board's black-cloaked anarchist, complete with spherical object with fizzing fuse and 'bomb' written on the side in white paint.

Nope. I see I spelled it wrong, because it's actually "subverter," but it's a word all right. In the dictionary and everything.
I do wear a lot of black, but it's only because it's the easiest way I know to lose five pounds, not as an aid in my subversive activities.

LOL! Well, at least it's nice to know I'm not the only one who feels that way.

And so I don't upset anyone, or incur their wrath, I'll just restate that Marmite is Pure Rancid Evilness (tm - copyright pending).
