She's been given a bangle when she was born
Help!! Ideas Needed Please
Ok - its Georgia's 1st Birthday and Christening in three weeks and I'm absolutely stuck on what to get her.
Obviously we would like to get her something to keep and cherish but what?
She's been given a bangle when she was born, the usual silver money boxes too.
The only thing I can come up with is a Charm Bracelet so that we can add to it as she grows and achieves things in life but does anyone else have any suggestions at all????

When Hannah was christened, she received a gold bangle from my mum and a silver one from her Godparents... and we raised money for Tiny Lives....
How about opening a savings account for Georgia?.. which you could add to whenever possible and give to her when she's sixteen, eighteen or twenty-one?..

Doe's she have a baby book? If not you could construct a book with all her pictures from birth up to now and details of all her firsts. You could list all her relatives and playmates and do a family tree. It could be like a diary of her first year.
She probably already has something like that though so I would go with your idea about the charm bracelet.

Tiffanys do a great range of silver christening gifts. They're not too expensive and I think they're all gorgeous. I have a feeling there are photos of the range on their website
The charm bracelet is definitely a wonderful idea
By the time she is 18 it will be lovely. It is something that, if it's like mine, can be passed down through the generations for years to come.

Yup I'd say the charm bracelet sounds great adding one charm a year

Thanks for the help folks
I'm definitely going with the Charm Bracelet and will let others know about the other ideas. Her Babcia (Nanny in Polish) can get her a St Christopher and the others, well..... keep those brilliant ideas a coming

If you know anyone who cross-stitches, a christening sampler is a lovely way of commemorating such a special event (or indeed any other special event you might come across...)
I'm not sure how old I was when I was given a charmed bracelet but I know its tiny and over the years it had a few added to it (including a dusty bin!!)

I think its a lovely idea The only other thing I was given was a baby set of cutlery which I still think companies do .. I think its the oddest christening present really as they are normally never used.
A charm bracelet is a lovely idea and one I wish my parents had bought me when I was younger. It's definately the present I'll be buying my daughter when I have one.
What about a christening cup?.. then you could have her name, date, weight and time of birth engraved onto it? The more expensive route is to name a star after her, but i have no idea how to go about that or how much it'd cost.. probably loads...
You know, i wish i'd thought of the charm bracelet idea for Hannah... that sounds lovely
