I would say go with 'Every Breath You Take' or 'You're Just Too Good To Be True'

'Every Breath' is a good song and you do it well, however 'You're Just Too Good To Be True' makes very good use of your range.

The other songs are all really good, but they sound a little out of your range...

I think I'd probably go for the same two as thelostsailor, though admittedly my opinion may have been swayed slightly by the fact that those are the two I know the best. I was trying not to let that happen though. And I'm not sure if that might actually work against you, if it's a song the judges have heard several times before. I dunno, I've never really watched the show...

I also thought You Needed Me sounded great, so that's another possibility. I actually have no idea what the original sounds like though (or even who sang it, is that bad?). The only one I'd probably advise against is Thankyou, just because (in my opinion) Dido has a sort of a stigma attached to her... But maybe that's just me...

As I said in chat, 'every breath you take' is a good song but a bit too synonymous with The Police, so I think 'Youre To Good to be True' is a better bet.

I'd say "You're To Good To Be True" was the best out of that lot.

Nope not yet, but last year they started around March/April time. Hope i don't miss it with being away. Get your form in!

Got an update for you all.

The auditions are taking place on June 18th at Old Trafford stadium in Manchester. This appears to be the only audition date and it's an open audition, so that form I sent off seems to have done no good

Anywho, I'm still interested in going but I have a tinsy problem. It's on a Sunday, so the trains are really crap, and I'm not going to risk driving cos I'd never get parked! So the only viable option is to go up the night before and stay over somewhere. This is where you lot come in!

Does anyone live in Manchester and could they put me up?! I'm only a teeny tiny person and I don't take up much room, lol. I'll let you come along and stroke Simon and Sharon (or Louis if he's your cup of tea, lol!)

If not, any other suggestions... cheap ones!

this is a hostel smack in the center of manchester, just 5 minutes walk from piccadilly train station and chorlton st coach station.
for those who know the area, its on the same st as the roadhouse, about 50 yards up.
and not only is it handy for coaches and trains, but its on the edge of the northern quarter (handy for "alternative" shopping and some of the best pubs, bars, and live music venues in town), and just a few minutes walk from the village (home of most of the rest of the best bars and clubs).
