Sorry this happened to you but glad to hear you came out of it pretty ok. Don't apologise for the length of the post, it was definately worth putting out there.
A personal warning.
On Friday I had a night out on the town in Milton Keynes with some friends. It was a good night, flirting with the DJ to get our songs played, dancing provocatively for the entertainment of the huddled boy masses (my friend Suzi has a lot to answer for) and generally being a drunken fool for most of the evening.
When the music stopped at about midnight, some people decided they were going clubbing, but the girls and I decided to go back to the hotel - personally I wanted to wash my hair before bed, but the others just wanted to get wasted in the hotel bar, lol.
Somewhere between making that decision and getting back to the hotel, I took a serious nosedive in the coherency department and from then on it gets hazy. I don’t remember going to KFC, getting in the taxi or who was in the taxi with me. I remember being in the taxi, but not getting out or getting to my hotel room. I don’t remember getting changed into my jammies or going into the bathroom, but I do remember worrying that I’d been sick in my hair and I don’t remember who told the ambulance men where I lived.
Obviously I have very little recollection of what happened so this is mostly from what I was told afterwards:
Apparently I was not a very well bunny. I was sick many times, my eyes were glassy and I couldn’t focus on anything and I passed out a few times and my roomie and some friends couldn’t wake me up. They ended up ringing 999 to get someone out to take a look at me (they did an ECG and everything) and they asked me to go to hospital, but I refused to go because I’d been sick in my hair, I had no makeup on, there might be cute Drs at the hospital and everyone in reception would see me. I also told someone off for saying I was feeling nauseous because the correct word to use would have been nauseated *rolleyes*
The next day I pretty much lost to sleep/passsing out. During the day I found the ECG blue stickies on my chest, I still felt ill at 11pm that night and I couldn’t bear to eat a thing. I was still a bit wobbly when I was walking about the next day and spent the majority of my time sat down ‘cos my head didn’t spin then.
This is the important bit – the rest of it is just so you can laugh at/sympathise with me.
I only had three glasses of wine. I know I only had three because I bought my own, it was £2.80 a time and I had change from a tenner in the morning.
I’ve killed half a bottle of vodka AND a couple of glasses of wine on an empty stomach before now and haven’t even been hungover… in fact I’ve not had a hangover for over 5 years and I drink like a fish (on occasion). So there was nothing normal about this behaviour from me – we think my drink was spiked.
The truth is that if it happened to me in a large group of people I trusted (I don’t believe for a second that it was one of the guys I was with and we were in a public place, so it could have been anyone), it can happen to you. I know all of those warnings go around all the time giving it “don’t leave your drink unattended,†but this actually happened to me this weekend, so PLEASE remember it next time you’re out. I’m not stupid, but in hindsight I left myself wide open - you only need to be distracted for a second for someone to take advantage.
This got longer than I expected, sorry, but I felt it was important.

this happened to a friend of mine a few years back - wasnt fun, spending all the next day taking it in turns to clean up the remnants of what was in her system whenever it came out.
Oh you poor thing I guess it's a good thing you went out with a group of friends as if you had been on your own this could have ended up very nasty. Always good to have friends around you as a safety net just incase something like this happens.

You worried me half to death when I spoke to you on Saturday. You couldn't string a sentence together. Glad I came to see you (and the Coreys ) on Sunday and we could have a rather relaxed night in eating ice cream and falling asleep well before midnight. I love you and if I ever found out who it was that did this to you I will hurt them.
Gah thats horrible, at least you had some trustworthy friends with you who looked out for you and did the right thing. I have lived SUCH a sheltered life

Ugh, nasty. Glad to hear you're OK, this happened to a mate of mine 2-3 years back, and he was not a happy bunny. Scumbuckets.
I'm so sorry to hear about this babe. I'm also very relieved that you were with a group of friends who took care of you though. There are some really twisted people out there, real scum. Let's just hope they get their very painful come-uppance at some point soon...
I'm just glad that you're okay now, that you're safe and i hope the scumbuckets who did this die in the most painful, horrible way imagineable!!!
*hugs*

Thanks to everyone who posted.
I'm still feeling a little bit funny from it, I'm not a headache person, but I've had one pretty much non-stop since that night I spoke to the girls at my nail place tonight and she's had a similar experience. she told me she had headaches for about 10 days after her incident and felt ill for a few days afterwards.
Seriousy, they're the scum of the bloody Earth
