But hippos.... never thought that? Which kind of hippo though as there are a few. You would think that animals that invented the saying "when shit hits the fan" would kinda know how to handle themselves.

Don't know who's after those two unfortunate species. Would have said wolves until recently, but they seem to be undergoing something of a revival. (Any co-incidence between that and Doctor Who is entirely coincidental ... probably.)

The irony being that when it comes to the two species which seem to be in evolutionary dead ends - the giant panda and the mountain gorilla - they're both primarily living wild in places that it's actually hard to get to to count them.
