Recommend a book
Hi Guys,
I'm off to the middle of Wales tomorrow for a 4-day conference. This place is in the middle of nowhere with no TV, mobile phone reception and minimal internet. It also takes 5 hours to get there, so I'm going to have to entertain myself the old fashioned way
Can anyone recommend a book to keep me occupied?

As for books, I'm currently reading the Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy (all 5 of them). If you've not read them already I can highly recommend them.

Moondust by Andrew Smith
Non-fiction about the Space Race and more. Started off with the realization that only 9 people are alive who have walked on the moon, and that in the foreseeable future there will be none, with little chance of anyone else going again any time soon. Based around a series of interviews with those fortunate enough to have walked there, those who almost got there, but had the job of orbiting the moon while others grabbed the headlines, some of the ground staff, Brian Eno, Roger Plant, David Bowie, and a conspiracy theorist.
Wasn't something I'd normally read, but was a present. Once I started I was fascinated. Highly recommended. Though Alan and Flowers' choices are classics.

Depends on what you usually read to be honest!
I've been reading a lot of crime/thrillers recently and can recommend Robert Goddard, although I've read a bit of everything I can't really think of anything I didn't enjoy.
I've been going through my mum's collection of John Wyndham too..the Midwich Cuckoo's gave me the creeps!
And you could always join the millions of others who've read some Dan Brown over the last year. Good books but taken FAR too seriously!
