Only minutes to go...
We have our vodka and we have our housemate opinions (mostly already formed, lol).
It might be a school night, but we're still gonna do it in true BB opening night style and comment drunkenly on the evening proceedings. It's fair to assume that we'll get more and more incoherent as the night draws on...
Please feel free to join in, but the BB haters can stay in the "bother" thread
PS. Y's money is on Housemates 5 and 11, T is betting on 3 and 7.

There seems to be an unusual amount of 'talent' this year (and very little excess fat), but no-one (in the interviews at least, apart from maybe Dawn) making any pretence of having a socially responsible bone in their bodies. I'm sure no-one wants another Kitten, but wouldn't at least one committed socialist who isn't George Galloway create the kind of tension that pulls in at least a few viewers? Or am I just being naive?
I don't have many hopes for this series, except that I hope to be surprised.

OK, this I like. Last year there wasn't one who wouldn't have been improved by falling out of an upstairs window. This year there wasn't a single one I really took against (except perhaps Lea and Mikey the self-loving tosspot, but she's a bit of a tragic figure and I bet he was making most of that crap up).
I didn't see Bonneh and Pete go in - switched on too late. If Pete's Tourettes is real he could be this year's Nadia and win it because of his "journey". There's already links on the Digital Spy forums to a hardcore porno Lea's done.
Y & T - this is the time of the year when the two of you rock. Reading that commentary was better than the whole of BB4 and BB6 combined.
My thoughts:
* Bonnie - Drab and invisible. Why were people booing her?
* Pete - Chas Smash lives. Could be a winner if people don't tire of him.
* George - Tim Nice But Dim. Could we grow to love him? Yeah, probably.
* Shahbaz - I like him, though he's a bit overpowering. Sweet guy - first non-white winner?
* Lea - Everyone gets to live their life their own way. It's just, why do I have to see hers on TV?
* Imogen - Seen worse. But she'll do better as a sweet girl from the Valleys than as a beauty queen.
* Mikey - Pretty, but seems a tosser. If he is, he'll go quick: if he's not he'll finish 4th.
* Dawn - Kick ass! Hope she's not first out, she could drive the whole series if she lasts.
* Glyn - Is he really allowed to stay up that late? The House Baby usually does well but never wins.
* Richard - A complete Muscle Mary, this could be fun! Can I have one of those for Christmas please?
* Grace - I like her. Seems quite human. Is bound therefore to fail.
* Lisa - Wow! If she goes at 9 on the volume scale she might win, if she's at 10 she's out.
* Sezer - People, I present to you your winner - *if* he can get the ego under control. A charmer.
* Nikki - makes a puddle look deep. Far too mercenary for the public to swallow.

I've just read my way through this whole thread and LMAO!! I was unable to post my first-reactions on here last night as I was stuck at work till 4:30am, but luckily I was able to watch the show at work and I made notes of each person as they went in which I'll put up here later on.
My random choices of contestants made with Katie before the show started were 7 & 13, which I was actually pretty pleased with.
Oh, and can I just say... Lea porn?!?! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww!!!!

Just watching the live feed now and Shabaz has apparently asked Big Brother if he can leave the house tomorrow! He sounds pretty determined (though I don't know if he's been drinking or not). I'm not sure what exactly has led to it, but he keeps talking about having acted out scenes from a film that no-one else knew and them taking it the wrong way and it leading to arguments...

OK, these were my initial thoughts on all the housemates made when they first entered the house. Some of my opinions have slightly changed in the last 36 hours, but these notes are my unedited original opinions... (well ok, slightly edited to take out the swearing... see if you can spot where... )
Bonnie - Chav slut! Eeeeew, put your belly away! Could be funny... or very annoying...
Pete - Tourettes dude! A rock n' roll singer. Possibly very cool... We like!
George - I kinda missed his intro video, but apparently he's a total prat and a toff! On seeing the champagne: "Let's crack this bad boy!" Lol! Oh dear...
Shabaz - A self-proclaimed paki poof. He could be cool so long as he's not a diva... Oh dear, he's looking like a diva... His voice is way too high, and the accent doesn't help him either...
Lea - OMG! Huge tits! Hideously ugly! And she's a model?!? :S Seems like a crap, horrible person. And how upset was she at the booing?!
Imogen - Very cute! Seems like a nice girl, if very shallow. And a former Miss Wales! Cool!
Mikey - Stereotypical blokey-bloke. Anti-feminist, anti-ugly people, loves football... BUT... I think he could be very cool... maybe... (also my first random choice for whose gonna win)
Dawn - What a miserable git! Thinks love's a waste of time, doesn't have or want any friends... Just horrible basically!
Glyn - Sexiest lifeguard in North Wales?!? What does that say about North Wales?! Eeeeeeeeew, stop being naked!!! Seems like he could be a nice bloke, but comes across as a prat...
Richard - Could be a new Dan... or could be an absolute prat! Actually, he's looking like a prat... A stereotypical OTT poof...
Grace - A rich bitch. Cute, but doesn't seem like a very fun person... Not sure though, could go either way...
Lisa - Trying too hard to be wacky...From her video she seems like a complete prat, but potentially a good person...
Sezer - Bit of a Del Boy? Rich, but self-made, and very full of himself. But seems pretty cool. And probably the most down-to-earth so far. (and my second random choice to win)

He was unbelievably annoying and totally crazy (and not in a wacky way!) but i'll miss him from the house because he did provide hell of some entertainment! He was definately a lot more interesting than some of the others .....
