"He's got the hots for sheep, not bears"
Ever heard of Bruno Watch? Basically (according to the news site I stumbled across earlier), a bear with substantial anger issues has been running rampant across the Bavarian Alps for around a month ripping to pieces everything he comes across, with everyone from the media to the German equivalent of Elmer Fudd in hot pursuit trying to catch him (preferably alive) before he bumps into something with two legs that isn't a chicken.
The reason this is funny is because one of the latest schemes suggested to lure him out of hiding is Nora; a female bear used in many TV shows and movies whose handler has offered her up as bait - this isn't quite the 'honey trap' Winnie the Pooh would've had in mind. Problem is, Bavarian authorities have rejected the plan because Bruno's not quite old enough to appreciate the offer yet...
This makes me curious as to what's German for "Back to the drawing board, chaps!"
The cheeky beggar also recently visited a Police Station and a local cafe while eating a rabbit and a guinea pig before sodding off again. No doubt the next repeats of Fawlty Towers should be redubbed to say "Don't mention the bear!"
