Water on your wrists and temples is great. Plus sitting in front of a huge fan
What do you do to stay cool?
If you look at the 5 day forecast it looks like we are in for another heat wave. But what do you do to stay cool? Do you spend your whole day in the inflatable pool in the backyard or have you run out to buy lots of fans or maybe even an airconditioning unit?
If you got any tips on how to stay cool do share

at work, usually go and hide in the back-up freezer, even though thats nothing to do with my department.
at home, either stand under the shower set on cold, or have a load of fans surrounding me...
or sit in the fridge...

How does that help?

Hot green tea.
Got some airco units here which do a "decent" job however my mum keep insisting that we keep doors and stuff open until its actually really warm outside, which really screws up the usefulness of the airco.
Ooh and generally just keep the sun out (blinds etc) does help as well, but I'm kinda stuck under a flat roof here which doesn't really help with keeping it cool.
I have all the windows open, the blinds shut and the fans on in every room. It's not helping though.......
It's just too damn hot no matter what I try and do.

Drink lots of icy, cold water and juice.
Take a cool bath or shower.
Spritz yourself with water and sit by the fan.
As someone said, keep the shades and curtains closed to keep out the sun.
If you live near the coast and can get there, it's a few degrees cooler.
Go to the movies where it's nice and cool.
But you just can't beat a good air conditioner.

You can't beat sitting under a tree in a park. It's amazing how cool it stays. In fact when I finish up at this internet cafe I'm off up to the Castle to sit under a tree and spend my afternoon finishing reading my book.

I get hay fever, but it hasn't yet made its yearly appearance. The only thing that works for me is a good antihistamine. You can get some decent ones over the counter, I'd imagine. A doctor can probably prescribe something stronger though.

To be honest, not really, all they can do is prescribe a lot more at once, rather than having to buy only 7 at a time for ridiculous amounts of money.
