Viva Blackpool?
Over the last few years there have been plans to turn Blackpool into a 'UK Las Vegas', with several large casino hotels. Now, with the government set to push through major reforms to gaming laws, it look like these plans may come to fruition.

Blackpool is a dump (ok. maybe not the best thing to say when i'm organising a Blackpool meet) but it is. It's tatty, unpleasant and REALLY need a cash injection. I go there and it depresses me cause it's just "egh".
I agree that yes it should have money put into a re-vamp but not in this way. I think in the long-run it would lose business and it's main source of income is from families visiting the resort. But if they build a load of casino's around the place, over 18, then the families ain't gonna want to come as much.
I've met the guy who's proposing it at my school prize-giving and ALL the way through the presentation he went on and on about what he wanted to do to blackpool - not caring that a. this was a prize-giving and b. we're all too young to gamble. He annoys me
