blackpool is nice so it could ruin it but i do sorta like the idea is blackpools not spoilt.

Blackpool is a dump (ok. maybe not the best thing to say when i'm organising a Blackpool meet) but it is. It's tatty, unpleasant and REALLY need a cash injection. I go there and it depresses me cause it's just "egh".

I agree that yes it should have money put into a re-vamp but not in this way. I think in the long-run it would lose business and it's main source of income is from families visiting the resort. But if they build a load of casino's around the place, over 18, then the families ain't gonna want to come as much.

I've met the guy who's proposing it at my school prize-giving and ALL the way through the presentation he went on and on about what he wanted to do to blackpool - not caring that a. this was a prize-giving and b. we're all too young to gamble. He annoys me

Thats sorta what they have done to Southend, though it no way compares to Las Vegas or anything.

I think they should leave it as it is, as there are alot more negative than positive e.g crime rate, no families, prostiution etc.
