not having much luck with cats :(

As you know, my/my mum's cat was put down a few weeks ago, which I'm getting over now, but today my ickle kitty has gone missing

He was here last night, and I think I saw him this morning, but now he's disappeared...the back door was open so he is outside, and we have looked everywhere to no avail

I'm so distressed, and can't imagine what he must be going through, poor little mite. He's scared of the outside world and only ventures out into the yard if he knows that someone is around.

I'm going out of my mind with worry. Needing huggles from my friends here

As I've already told you, hun, I hope he comes back soon. Sometimes cats do wander off and don't come back for ages. I'm sure he'll be back soon when he's hungry.

I've just been looking after RedWitch's cats, and each time I let them out I was petrified in case they left the garden and didn't come back...(not used to having cats about, and hadn't realised that they had a food-homing-device in their heads...hope your kitty remembers how to operate his homing device soon!)

I'm sure he'll come running home when he's hungry. My cat Sam managed to escape out of the kitchen window when Ciri left it open a week or so back. When we got back at 2am, he was sat at the back door miaowing like a demented thing asking to come back in.

He'll be back when he's hungry.

Have you been round to your neighbours and asked them to check their sheds and garages ? As yesterday was such a nice day its possible he wondered into one while people were cutting their grass etc and got locked in ?

Graham has put the leaflets in our neighbours letterboxes and people have said they'll look out for him.

One theory is he may have got scent of a female and if so could follow her for a few days before coming home.

Gonna put some food in the yard tonight, and move the bin into the corner of the yard so he can shelter behind it if he does come back in the night. I'll prolly leave the kitchen light on too, so he's got a better chance of recognising home

Sorry to hear about the worries. Sounds like you've got a young tom, in which case he's possibly just got the wander-lust tom cats seem to get, sooner or later.

Here's hoping that he's off marking territory and will be back soon.

I was so sure he'd be back curled up in his place when I got home

I'm so frightened for him. It's so cold out there and rainy, and he's not used to anything like that...

If there is a God, please...he isn't meant to be out there alone

Diandra I have no idea what I'm doing out of bed.

Kitties are resourceful and good at taking care of themselves. <aybe he's staying with a lady cat.

And they also know who loves them. Hope he comes back really soon.

I'm so sorry that you are not haing much luck with cats recently. Like the ithers have said, I'm sure that he will be able to look after himself - cats are very independent.

In the meantime, have lots of hugs
