Full details of the upcoming Once More, With Feeling CD have now been announced by the Rounder Records label.
The disc marks the debut release from Joss Whedon's newly-created Mutant Enemy Music. It will feature the entire original soundtrack to the show, as well as an unreleased demo version of Going Through the Motions, sung by Whedon and his wife Kai Cole.
Fans of composer Chris Beck, who also worked on the musical (and much of seasons two to four) will be delighted to learn that short suites from Restless, Hush and The Gift will also be included.
"This is the first album for Mutant Enemy Records, my first soundtrack and my first musical. I couldn't be more excited about it," said Joss. "It represents the hardest work I've ever done and more importantly, fully embodies my constant motto: surround yourself with talent and you can get away with having a lot less. No, no excuses: I'm proud of this work. I'm glad people will get a chance to hear it."
The album's artwork will be designed by comic book artist Adam Hughes, known for his work on X-Men, Justice League of America and Wonder Woman.
The album will be released in America on September 24th 2002, the same day as season seven premieres on the UPN network
