SPIKE
i've looked everywhere for this, and it appears the 1st 3 seasons have been deleted already. i can't understand this as the videos were limited edition and theya re still available.anyone know where i can get it as i really need to get the 1st 3 quick before theya re gone forever.
Silver
Spike, your talkin through your bum mate..
They havent been deleted.I've seen them on sale at online and high street retailers..today.
Granted i think Season 1 is a tad higher in price nowadays (Depending on where you go) but it is defo out there.
SPIKE
sorta just found it. only sites it has it on are woolworths and smiths, smiths takes 4 weeks to specially order it, woolworths one week, everywhere else i've been says its deleted, hmv, blackstar, mvc, dvd street. all the shops in stevenage don't have it in either.
Silver
Well, is there anything saying that you need to stick to the Region 2 version? Region 1 (USA) just got their season 1 release a few weeks ago...
Also you can try www.choicesdirect.co.uk they have it in stock as far as i can tell.

This site Has them... but its an australian company!
Season 1 - £28.50 inc shipping
Season 2 - £51.85 inc shipping
Season 3 - £56.80 inc shipping
These dvd's are region 4 and if I'm right you'll need a multi-region dvd player to watch them!
Also you *may* get a 17.5% VAT charge on arrival, but apparantly this doesn't happen most of the time if your order is under £100.
Hope this helps!

This could be inaccurate, the last time we ordered something from another country we had customs slap it and the parcel was less than $50 (£35). According to the postman who delivered it, customs have a shiny new building where they are checking parcels more frequently and as well as the VAT charge they add a handling charge.

Although it appears on parcels that are sent by donkey post are often overlooked, so it would depend on the type of courier the company are using.

I'd love to know where you found it on-line.

I checked over the weekend and DVD Popcorn & Blackstar show Seasons 1 & 2 as being deleted. Play247 simply don't list anything prior to S3.
Having said all that, it does seem that Amazon have a small nummber of S1 & S2 box sets left.

These are just some of the reasons why I'm gonna put off buying a DVD player for a VERY long time. Long live the video!
Tycho
I hope their customer support has been updated as well.

I phoned them up once to enquire how much duty I could expect to pay on a $250 coat & they said that they didn't know how much it would be & that I would just have to pay whatever it turned out to be when the parcel arrived.

Right there with ya

It might be something to do with the packaging. The season 1 set was originally advertised as with "limited edition crucifix packaging," and as anyone who has it knows, the season 2 case will damage the discs unless you're very, very careful. I heard (unconfirmed) rumours a while back that s2 would get a re-release in better packaging. Irritates me no end!

Think about it, they won't be out of print for long...

IIRC, my Season 1 was a re-release as when i was looking for it, a lot of places were tellign me it was out of stock. In the end it turne dout Amazon had another release date for it..how could this be? I thought, turns out it was re-released.

Well I managed to get S1 - S3 Buffy on Amazon and Silver's recommendation of Choices Direct. Ordered Angel S1 from Play 247.
Its just a case of shopping around really.
Red Witch
I've tried ChoicesDirect today, and they told me that they cannot release any season 1, 2 or 3 dvd box sets until season 4 comes out in May. They will accept pre-orders, but you won't get 'em til then.
Woolies told me three days and were only a couple of quid more expensive inc p&p.

Did they say why?

Well I just rang Choices to see where my S1 & S2 of Buffy were and they told me "S2 posted out today and S1 just waiting on stocks so I should allow another week or so"

i'll have a quick gange see if i can get it in london on saturday if not i'll have to order it probably from woolworths website as they seem best.
Believe it or not, Asda are sometimes quite good for their selection, depending on how big their store is.
