Q: Does this apply to UK sites only? (I'm assuming it does) B/c quite a few DVDs I'd want (had I the money *grumble*) are R1 only, and a lot of them aren't available on sites like Play 24/7 either (witness the Blackadder R1 boxset...it has *extras*...as opposed to nothing on the R2 discs )

Unfortunately, right now, we are only an affiliate with Blackstar and Amazon UK, we will shortly join up with another UK company who sells all sorts of lovely things, but unfortunately R1 disks currently fall outside our reach.

That's a shame. Having just found out my DVD player is multi-region I'll probably be buying mostly R1 stuff now...

Erm .. Not that I'm a ludite or anything, but I don't own a DVD player. I only buy VHS videos. Any chance of some releases for videos? Especially if the Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back video is out...

thing is, will a lot of the products be cheaper? i'd by through the site if so, if not i'd rather save money and get it in a shop, no offence or anything. if it will be cheaper the buffy and angels fugures i'd buy through here and the dvds.

Whether the products are any cheaper kind of depend onthe product, the preorder stuff you find at Blackstar is certainly cheaper than the shops, but it also depends on what offers your local shops are doing.

A lot of the goods (like whats on offer at Popcorn) are the kind of stuff you probably wont find at local stores at all.

Re: Region 1 DVD's - if anyone knows of a good online retailer that has an affiliate scheme, let us know and we'll investigate. They'd have to allow UK affiliates, as lot of US and Canadian based online retailers either don't have schemes, or will only pay out to US based accounts.

yeah I must admit I'd like to see a site doing Region 1 as things like Stargate complete seasons are only released on region 1.

There's nothing said about affiliates having to live within the US and in the registration form there's an option to choose the UK as your country of residence, so that looks pretty promising
