Top Christmas Tunes

What is your favorite Christmas tune? :month:

I have two tapes filled with Christmas tunes that I listen to every year to help put me in the Christmasy spirit

My favorite Christmas song is "Mary's Boy Child" (I think it's by Boney M tho I'm not sure). If you want to list a Top20 of your fav Christmas songs, that would be okay too

A few of my favs:
Snoopy's Christmas - Royal Guardsmen
I Can't Wait For Christmas Day - Mel Blanc (in the voice of Tweety)
The Hat I Got For Christmas is Too Big - Mel Blanc (don't know which character, but the song is soooo funny)
Welcome to My Christmas Song - (don't know who sings it)
Something About Christmas Time - Bryan Adams
Last Christmas - George Michael
Santa Baby - Madonna

Think 'Fairy Tale Of New York' by The Pogues and Kirsty McColl is the best ever Christmas song. :month:

And I have a very good, and haunting, version of 'Silent Night' sung by Sinead O'Connor.

But I like most of the usual Xmas tunes really. They all help me get in the Christmas spirit.

And, Perse, as far as that song 'Welcome To My Christmas Song' is concerned, are you thinking of Elton John's 'Step Into Christmas' which starts with those words? Or is what you're talking about a completely different song?

Best Christmas song award must surely go to Slade's Merry Xmas Everyone!

Oh and John and Yoko's Merry Xmas (War is Over) is cool too.

I don't know if I'll get to hear any Christmas songs in the build up this year.

Usually I get it from my mum and/or my sister who play assorted Christmas albums non-stop, but as I won't be seeing any of them until late Christmas Eve I won't. Hmmmmm, maybe I'll download a few for the hell of it. Annoy my flatmates.

Ditto - heard it on the radio when i was at work experience and it made me smile - which was weird because i tend to not look forward to christmas
