Tsunami Bomb - The Ultimate Escape
The addiction that is CD's
Hmm, am I the only one that has a crazy thought to buy CDs like they are going out of fashion? In the last week I've bought a crapload of Cds. Hopefully that will be my fix for the month.
No matter what anyone says, wether or not I have access to download them, I still feel obligated to buy it. The last 10 days alone I've bought;
Electric Six - Fire!
Foo Fighters - One by One (About time too!)
Tsunami Bomb - The Ultimate Escape
Michelle Branch - Hotel Paper
Metallica - St Anger
Matthew Good - Avalanche
Finch - What it is to Burn
Somebody help me!!!!

Yep I get this too!
On Monday I bought:
Electric Six - Fire
The Darkness - Permission to Land
Liam Lynch - Fake Songs
And thanks to both the HMV and Virgin sales that are currently going on, it's only a matter of (a very short amount of) time until I buy:
Good Charlotte - GC
Placebo - Without You I'm Nothing
Rage Against the Machine - Rage Against the Machine
And the Manics' B-sides album is out on Monday which I will be snapping up as soon as is humanly possible. I'm sure there's something else released on Monday that I wanted too but I can't remember what....

The Darkness rock!! It's amazing how high that bloke can sing! And all the jumping about he does is quite impressive too! Can't wait till the gig in October.
It's 'cos he squeezes his goolies into those funny old tight catsuit things

Lol!
In the last few weeks:
The Thrills - So Much for the City
Jesse Malin - The Fine Art of Self Destruction
Whiskeytown - Pneumonia
Whiskeytown - Faithless Street
Joni Mitchell - Blue
Neil Young - After the Gold Rush
Brendan Benson - Lapalco
Probably some others I can't remember. The problem is the internet... impulse to buy... three clicks later and it's done.
I reckon I've bought a CD a week on average since I was 16 (many many many moons ago).

I've been good- the only CD I've bought in the last week is Brand New's new one- "Deja Entendu". I was powerless to it's lure. I love them too much.
Well, I've been a bit restrained recently! I bought both the Common Rotation albums the other day..only one of them has come though as yet though .
I don't listen to the radio enough to work out what bands I like! Oh well...its good for my bank account I s'pose!

My mum bought the Darkness Album whilst i was on holiday and i'd d/led about half the songs already. It is such an amazing album, i can't stop listening to it!
I'd also quite like the Liam Lynch "Fake Songs" album
Plus the Nerve full length album "the art of falling apart"

On average I spend about £200 every other month, usually just after pay day, on CDs. And then there's Amazon. Been really good recently and haven't bought any for me since I got back from my trip to the US in March. However, while I was out there I pretty much maxed out my Mastercard buying new and used CDs in this one store. Would have bought more except for friends dragging me out. Twice.
I was particularly proud of myself recently when I went into HMV on Oxford Street, bought a CD for my Mum's birthday pressie, and left the store without buying anything for me! I don't think that has ever happened before.
It's my one true vice (see what I did there?). OK, I have lots of vices, but put them all together and I spend less of them than I do on music, and especially CDs.
I would give you a list of all the CDs I bought on that trip to the US but I can't remember them all and I'm currently at work. Suffice to say AFI's Sing The Sorrow was the best of the bunch.

In the past 3 weeks I've brought a Linkin Park cd,a Busted cd,a J.Lo one and Hotel Paper by Michelle Branch. And im playing 2 Remy Zero songs I've found on an internet site to prevent me from buying the Smallville soundtrack for a while. I love Amazon. I'm always buying books, cd's and DVD's.

Well, it was pay day on Monday, and as I'd been such a good boy over the last four months, and managed to save for my trip to Antigua, I let myself loose in HMV this week.
Managed to keep it under £80, making good use of the sale, and bought a couple of Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs CDs, Bowie's Low, Audioslave, Hail To The Thief, The Coral and a couple of others that skip my mind right now. However, it's not long now until the new Black Rebel Motorcycle Club CD is out, which means more temptation...

I too am a recovering CDaholic and am resisting buying them until KoRn release their next album (assuming there is going to be a new one). A few years ago I used to be paid £120pw and at least £70 went on CDs!!! I now run past shops that sell CDs!!!
Kazaa is my now my God...

Damn, and I was doing so well too... and then I think to myself I'll just wander into HMV for 5 minutes and end up walking out with a double CD of "They Might Be Giants" (52 tracks for 9.99 including Birdhouse and Boss of Me) and 'World without tears' by Lucinda Williams.

As for me, I LOVE buying CDs. I love the covers, and the first time you open them to see what the actual CD is like, the first time you take it out (esp if its kinda stiff) and I love reading the inlay with all the "thank yous" etc. Oh and that first listen... nothing like it! Not bought any for a while parents tell me off since the way they see it, I'm wasting money on something I could be bootlegging from the internet! My parents = strange!
OK rant over
