Rock bands with female vocals?

A trend I've noticed recently (If it's actually a recent trend or not I have no idea) is bands with female vocals. Evanescence being a prime contender. After buying the Tsunami Bomb album, I'm keen to see if there are anymore out there.

Does anyone know of any? Thoughts on this type of vocal?

Not really a recent trend, most of the rock or metal I buy is female vocal & that goes back over quite a few years.
