I can't stand them. We saw them supporting The Wildhearts (and Def Leppard - ssshhhhhh ) a few months ago and thought they were a joke band. Jazz *loves* them and drives me mad with them. However, 'Get Your Hands Off My Woman' is one of the funniest songs ever

I have the album, and I saw them at a mini-gig thing in HMV, and I'm going to see them in October.

classic style stadium rock, a la ac/dc, aerosmith, van halen etc etc with great riffs and mean guitar solo's. we does no one else do music like this...instead we get bloody millions of boring coldplay-esque bands! *yawn*

Fun for now, but I predict a very short shelf life once the joke wears off.

Am I right in thinking they are the band I've seen on MTV2 with an alien spaceship at the beginning of the video and a singer wearing a "Mercury-esque" bodystocking? If so, thumbs up!

I got their album the other day, they're my new "thang" at the moment. I really like them, and I think the lead singer has real sex appeal.

When they first appeared on the live scene, the music press labelled them "the gay AC/DC". They came back with: "No, we're the straight Queen!" Class!

I know they're taking the piss but I don't care. They've got them Marshalls turned up to eleven, the Spandex pants too tight and they rock! Can't wait til the Hammersmith gigs in October.

I agree with T - "Get Your Hands Off My Woman (Mother****er)" is pure class.

i liked the song, i bought the album, and i personally think it's a very bland and formulaic album. It's had the 3 listens to (which every CD needs before judgement) and it's even getting a 4th right this very moment, but massively impressed, i am not

No, that's just the rock posturing, they are actually extracting the urine, as Rally said - that's the whole point..

How do I know? My Sister went to school with Ed(win - yes that's his name ) and he used to pop round here quite often, and Justin and Dan went to one of the other schools in the area (They all knew each other at 6th form etc).

Just noticed this thread and can I just say that Justin (as in the lead singer who at least one of you thinks has sex appeal) has so much sex appeal that I didn't even remember that I had a night out with him a few years ago - before The Darkness was ever in the offing. I didn't even remember until a friend of mine reminded me about it the other week. I quite like the video with the spaceship for I Believe In A Thing Called Love though

they rock full stop any band that can right a song about being stuck in a room full of charlie and love on the rocks with no ice are worth their weight in gold and the last track on the album is the mutts nutts
