Hmmmmm, I don't know. Technically he seemed proficient enough everything from the reverse bar warbles to the string skipping was there. The private stock PRSes were there. But I know 20 guys who could do that just as good as Mike. The question comes when it's time to churn out his own music, can he mix the light and airy echoed clean tones with the trademark Mesa grindage? I'll wait for the new album before saying yes or no.
However, sound wise, I couldn't tell that it wasn't Wes, so I guess that means that at least the old favourites will still rock as good as ever.
