Myleene goes Nu-Metal
Has anyone heard the new classical album by former Hear Say singer Myleene Klass? I hear she has got a cover of Linkin Park's 'Crawling' on there.

From what I've heard of it, it's not bad actually. Linkin Park do have a very 'classical' sound to a lot of their music so their songs adapt well.
Myleene is quite the accomplished pianist, from what I've heard and the LP 'cover' works well.

Although I do agree with Whistler that Linkin Park have a kind of classical sound to their music, I'm not sure the same is true of their lyrics. I'm trying to imagine Crawling sung in a classical way and I can't hear it sounding anything but pretty awful. Now I'm not the most musical person in the world (or even in my bedroom), so it could well turn out different to how I'm imagining it. But my "Oh god no!"-ometer is set to high!

I'm not sure the same is true of their lyrics. I'm trying to imagine Crawling sung in a classical way and I can't hear it sounding anything but pretty awful.

AFAIK, all the stuff on Myleene's album is instrumental. All playeed on the piano and minus lyrics.

Ah right, in that case it could well sound quite good. I'm quite shocked that she's gone for such a dramatic change of style though. But if she's got the talent and the inclination then good on her, hope it turns out well.
