Oooooh.... I've never been much of a Blink 182 fan. I own none of their albums and know none of their songs apart from the singles. But I've been told that they're very good live. So I might go along to this...
Blink 182 UK tickets - on sale this week
Taken from http://www.aloud.com/holding/blink182.shtml
Blink 182 head back to the UK in February for some guaranteed to be mega-shows. But you need to make the most of the opportunity as they've announced just two performances.
They'll be at London Wembley Arena on Feb 6 and Manchester M.E.N. Arena on February 7.

It's weird some performances i've seen have been excellent but then others have been rubbish by them, which has confuzzled me lol

I was thinking about going but the nearest one is the MEN and it's huge which sucks cos i end up getting stuck at the back (Then again i'm still bitter from the time they cancelled 2 years ago cos they were scared to fly over but flew over to germany for an awards ceremony )
I saw them once at a little place in Camden several years ago just before they became mainstream and they were good. Not too sure about seeing them at Wembley but I still have a few days to decide.....
By the time I rolled out of bed all the standing tickets had gone and there were only crappy seating tickets left. Will wait for an extra date to be added but not sweating it
Me and the boyfriend have booked for the Manchester date. I'm not really a fan of the MEN, but been wanting to see Blink 182 for a few years now, so I'll cope. We went for seating tickets as after a Jimmy Eat World gig a couple of years ago, I've lost patience with standing at gigs.
It does mean I now want to get a copy of the new album before then. Anyone bought it yet, and is it any good? I've only heard Feeling This so far.

I bought it yeah, and it's ok.
There's a problem with it though. They've tried to hard to get better with their instruments and try to be a "good" band that the newest CD seems to have lost all trace of what Blink actually are/were - some crappy toilet humour band who can't really play their instruments that well and churn out songs with meaningless lyrics, just because they can.
Now we get pseudo-meaningful songs. Instead of "i wanna **** a dog" we get things about being in space and looking down at the earth and wondering if you should ever go back down there because it looks so beautiful but it's such a dark horrible place. Now, these people have all just had kids, surely they don't actually believe that about the world, so why are they writing it?
It's an ok album, but i don't think it can beat dude ranch or TOYPAJ.
However, it may just be that my musical tastes have moved on some in the past 3 years, so now they just seem a bit crap, whichever way, they were good when we saw them live in the summer, so I'm off to see them at manchester too!

Well according to this week's Kerrang they did at some point announce a second London date at the Hammersmith Apollo, but it's all sold out already. Bugger.
