Recently I've been on a bit of a Super Furry Animals kick, and have been listening to most of their back catalogue (not including Mwng and Phantom Power cos I've not got them yet). And I've also been listening to Placebo - Sleeping With Ghosts and The Ataris - So Long, Astoria quite a bit.

Me too! I'm debating whether or not to get tickets to see them in April...

they're starting their tour in liverpool where i live, so depending on the cash situation i will most likely go!
i saw them on my birthday last year (october) and they were sooooo good!! i felt like the happiest person alive hehe, not only was it my birthday, i was with my boyfriend, i was stoned, and i was seeing the super furry animals as well! ahhh it was so good...
didn't play all the songs i wanted them to though! bit gutted they never played venus and serena from phantom power...

Muchos apologies for hijacking this thread, but how much of a range of stuff did they play? Was it mostly new stuff or was there a fair bit of old stuff too? Cos the only thing that's putting me off going is that I don't know anything off Phantom Power, so I can see me being a bit lost for most of the evening. Although I'm sure I'd still enjoy it, I'm just curious really. Did they play much from the first two albums?

they played lots of old stuff...only about 4 songs off phantom power as far as i can remember, so i shouldn't worry bout not knowing anything. i figure they're pretty erractic when picking thier setlists, so i dunno what the deal would be if you went to see them - random!

...this week ive mostly been subjected to metal that i dont like by my friend Jonny...that was fun, cephalic carnage, the locusts and waaaaaay too much Metallica to be healthy!

Oh and some Frank Zappa, Mr Bungle and Fantomas and anything else to do with Mike Patton...i may spend this week lying in a darkened room listening to steps.
