I'm pleased to announce the arrangements for ticket sales for this year's Festival.
Last year tickets sold very quickly and as a result we had a huge problem with tickets being offered all over the place at three or four times their face value. Some of these tickets were traced back to outlets that we supplied but had no effective control over.
So this year the tickets will only be sold by the telephone ticketline, phone number 0870 830 2004, and through the website address www.aloud.com. There will be a link from the Festival website, www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk to www.aloud.com.
Tickets will go on sale at 8pm on the 1st April 2004.
Tickets will be restricted to two per person and each transaction will be vigilantly monitored to make sure there is no repetition.
All tickets will be personalised to prevent unauthorised reselling - and there will be checks at the gates.
Tickets will cost £112 + Booking Fee and Post and Packaging.
If you used cash to buy tickets in the past, don't worry. Postal orders and cheques will be accepted, but only on the phone line. Credit and debit cards will be accepted on both the ticketline and for website sales.
The measures we are taking this year will result in a much fairer way to access the Festival, which promises to be as always, an incredibly joyful way to spend your mid-summer!
Still thinking about this and as they're not on sale 'til April 1st I can think a little longer
I've not been to Glastonbury since 1997 (I think) when all the mud traumatised me, but I went every year for seven years up 'til then. Hopefully I'll be speaking to my parents by then so I can take their brand spanking new motor home (I've not camped since then either *shudder* )
So who else is gonna go?

I didn't think it was too bad a price. Three days of bands makes it just over £37 each day. Throw in the camping (*ick*) too and it's quite reasonable.
SamphiretteTo you I guess I'm just a clown who picks you up each time you're down
If you have a camper van and I have any money to scrap together by Aprils Fools then I'd consider it.
I don't *do* tents!!! but I've never been to a weekend event and I'd like to try it sometime.
Depends on the bands too though

I'll be there with my other half.
Last year was one of the most relaxing weekends I ever had.
Lying in the sun, listening to music for 3 days. Cool.
