Festivals
Anyone going to any this year? Reading, Glastonbury anyone? Might be going to Reading as my friend has just persuaded me.

Whats the point tho? Hes a big act, he'll pull a big crowd, wether people want him there or not isnt the point, people *will* watch 50 Cent. He'll be on the bill for people who like festivals but not want to listen to just metal, rock, indie, punk, goth, whatever.

I remember seeing Rolf Harris & Tom Jones at Glastonbury several years ago and while I wouldn't usually listen to their stuff they rocked the place, lol. Not that I usually remember seeing many bands at festivals
Come to think of it did 50 Cent support Eminem at Milton Keynes? If he did he was great. If it wasn't him whoever it was was great

Got to say i tend to be quite open mided about music but i'm no too impressed about 50 cent either but Eminems played before now hasn't he?? 
and to me Oasis didn't really fit in with the rest of the bands but if it's what others want to see then we can't really say anythin! I just wander off and shop and drink more beer until someone I want to see is on! x

Don't think Eminem has played before, JayZ was gonna play last year but he pulled out. I'm sure 50 Cent is gonna get clobbered in p*ss bottles . I'm just gonna avoid his set altogether.

Really, I don't understand the closed mindedness when it comes to music, if you like it, enjoy it and if you don't - don't ruin it for everyone else by being abusive. Not you specifically, I'm sure you wouldn't get nasty if you were there, but a lot of people do (Daphne and Celeste in 2000?). Though last year it was quite amusing when there were so many people throwing bottles at Good Charlotte that they had everyone throw them at the same time, just to get it out of the way. At least I think that's what happened My main problem with the lineup is, while it's pretty good, there's very little new there - most of the bands have played over the past few years. Oh well...most of them are pretty good.Tried to buy Reading tickets last night actually and it said they're not currently available. They're not sold out are they?
I've only ever been to Leeds and while it's great, I fancied Reading for a change and I don't want to end my weekend with the White Stripes - they're great, but don't do well on the main stage. Huff.

New line up added to Reading and Leeds. Looking forward to seeing Yellowcard, The Rasmus (may change my mind though), Reel Big Fish, The Offspring, Green Day, Lost Prophets, Funeral for a Friend and The Libertines
