Who is your favourite 'Character' in Buffy/Angel?

My Question, as seen in the Topic Heading is:

"Who is your favourite 'character' in Buffy and why?" as well as;

"Who is your favourite 'character' in Angel and why?"

My favourite character in Buffy would probably have been Spike. Reason being that he was a great villan. He has spent more time actually trying to get the slayer than most, and not by any super special means, but by the method of actually beating her to death, which is oddly refreshing.

He never did, but he was always trying, which is also refreshing. He also had a great history with Drusilla, and Angel, even Darla, and a bit with Harmony too which makes him an interesting charcater. He actually makes a connection with almost every character in some way. And even with the chip in his head, he still likes to belive he is evil, and beats up anyone he comes across, but its always seems to be for a good reason, though he would hate to admit it, he knows that too...

For Angel, I think it would be Cordelia. I also really like the Host, but Cordy has this thing about her. She came to make it as a movie star, and ends up working for a Vampire with a soul in a detective agency. She becomes such great friends with someone who she would have dissmissed back in Sunnydale, and she has grown up much faster than the others in Buffy, which is really good!! She lives in the middle of LA, each and every week she has to help track and kill some demon, or a hoard of them, and she also has to deal with the power of the visions... I could go further but without risk of spoiling something I won't.

And so they are my favourites, what are yours??

Buffy: Hands down, it's Willow. She pretty, an amazing actress and has a dark side to her character which others lack, plus all the best storylines go to her.

Willow also has Tara, who is also great at acting.

Angel: Hmmmm.... possibly Fred or Wesley, not sure. Both funny and both very interesting to watch, maybe Angel, he's growing on me

Up to the end of season 5 I think that Giles is my favourite character of those still remaining. I also like Quentin Travers? I think that's his name, the representative from the watchers council who fires Giles in Helpless and who brings the Scoobies the news that Glory is a god. He's cool and sinister and very reminiscent of how dark the series used to be once upon a time before it started playing video games.

In Angel my fave character is Cordelia. Cos she's HOT. I mean because ermm....

Actually I think her character brings a lot of the comedy into Angel most of it rather dry, but the writers aren't afraid to make it a little sillier from time to time. I also think that Cordy's Sunnydale allows her to get away with certain things that otherwise would have no place in Angel, and as such it doesn't spoil the overall darkness that the show, especially in it's 1st season has. She's also HOT

Well done, that man. That's a perfectly good reason, and i'm gonna steal it. My favourite character in Angel is Cordelia, because she's HOT.

Ahem.

And my favourite character in Buffy is, well, was Giles. It would have been Xander earlier in the season, but all through the first 5 Seasons, Giles was very consistent, whereas the other characters have dropped off slightly, especially Xander. Nowhere near as funny now

Rae Your imitation of my walk, and the perfect way you talk. It's just a couple of the million things, that i love about you.

In Buffy, Spike...{edit: oh right i need a reason}hes cool.the coat the hair and basically the charcter in general. from the moment he came into Buffy you could tell he was a more charasmatic villian than the master or the anointed one could ever have been. He actually had personality. He worked well with Dru and also in the scoobie gang later
In Angel, Cordelia cos she's the only one i really feel anthing for. Angel annoys me except for sometimes when he's a little funny. Wes i just don't like. Doyle i did but now he's gone. Gunn is okay but doesn't get enough to do. Fred's okay. Cordy can be funny and cool. she's also had a lot more character development than anyone else, she's managed to successfully change from high school bitca to a mature and funny character

Buffy: Xander i think. I like his humour. He makes me laugh. A lot. He and Anya are just perfect together.

Angel: Like you really have to ask???

Angel... his broodiness, stuff like that (i'm sure there are more valid reasons, but i just can't think of them right now).. but i like Cordelia too, how much she's changed over the three seasons.

Fav character Buffy has to be Faith cos she kicks butt and looks fantastic at the same time. also has a mean streak !!!

fav character Angel : who else but Cordy! Gone is the brash shopaholic bitch-queen - to a sensitive beautiful woman {Spoiler removed}{Her character has been developed so much and Charisma does an exceptional job , that they should rename it ' Cordelia'

Angel: Gotta be Cordy, although I don't like her latest hairdo, I'm guessing she didn't like it much either as it gets covered with a bandanna pretty sharpish...

Cant really think about who in Buffy but on a character level in Angel, It has to be Wesley growing from being inept to what he is today.

Sydney You can lead the whore to culture but you can't make her think!

Fave charater in Angel is Wesley. His character has developed amazingly from his first appearence in Buffy. All believable too. I really feel for him and a charcater has gotta be good to manager that!!

fave character in Buffy is more problematic. It would be easier to say who I didnt like...

Sounds like an idea for a new thread (Me needs a lightblub appearing on top of the head smiley!)

My favourites from Buffy are actually the Mayor - I found him one of the most intriguing characters especially as a big bad. I was very disappointed the way the Mayor was built up to being completely unstoppable and then they caved in, turned him into a horrible computer generated snake and killed him fairly easily

As far as main characters go, I'd have to say Giles - his character appears to have great depth which we only see in snippets of his Ripper Days which I would love to see explored when he gets his own series. He's normally on the ball and a good all rounder when it comes to knowledge, magic, using a chainsaw and singing ... oh and the dressing up was always a highlight

Characters in Angel, I would have to say Angel has grown as a character, any time he smiles you have to laugh as it always comes as a surprise after he'd been labelled moody

He's no longer Buffy's toy and he's a man of his own

Also TheHost always has some fabulous witty lines and *that* voice. Actually I couldn't really fault any of the characters in Angel, they all seem to be placing in really nicely now

My fave Buffy character would have to be Giles - basically cos I think he has been really consistent throughout the seasons, and has developed well and realistically. I really like the suntle changes that we have seen in him over the years, although I must admit, I do miss the Library

I'n Angel, I thinkit would have to be Angel or Wesley. Don't really know why, they have both just become so much more likeable over the years
