I really like this one. I'm not entirely sure why, but I do. Most of it is fairly light, but there's lots of nice bits and character development.
Gunn/Fred, well, I think they make a cute couple. Mmmm Fred.
Groo wasn't as bad as I'd feared. His innocent manner is actually kind of endearing ("Angel, your coat is singing" ). All the rather direct discussion of he and Cordy wanting to have sex was a bit strange, though..
Angel is interesting in this episode. His jealousy and pettiness towards Groo, his feeling that he's being replaced and actually suggesting that he'd like to be. But I'm glad he manages to move on and allow Cordy and Groo to be happy (unless he just gave her a holiday cos he couldn't bear to see them together ). He has Connor and that's enough for now.
Wes, on the other hand, has no-one, and is clearly on the verge of losing it big-time. He's trying very hard to cope with Fred/Gunn, but his true feelings aren't very far below the surface. Excellently played by Alexis Denisof, btw. And how will he deal with what he's discovered in the prophecy?! Not well, I don't think.
